Over the past two days, I got called 4 times by 02081338270 supposedly “HMRC” saying there’s some criminal case against me with this recorded voice telling me to ring them back to sort it out. I never rang them, so I’m pretty sure this is some kind of scam!

Just received a dodgy call from a number claiming to be HMRC, saying I'm supposedly under some sort of criminal probe. It was an automated recording! Whatever you do, don’t return the call! It’s definitely a scam!

A London number (020 8133 8270) just rang me with a robotic voice saying it was my last chance to avoid some kind of legal action from HMRC, telling me to call a different phone number to stop it. I’m pretty sure it’s a nasty scam trying to trick me. Reported it straightaway to HMRC. - Caller said their name was Ian McCrea

Got a robo call round about 11pm telling me I’d somehow messed up on my taxes and to ring 020 8133 8270. Honestly, they must take us for idiots to be calling that late with nonsense like this!
