Honestly, it gets them every time, and they never bother ringing me again. It’s hilarious because they just don’t know what to make of someone actually barking down the phone!8 yearsGot a call from some 'UK Energy Company' trying to sell me stuff. I just ended it straight away - chatting with these people is a waste of time.UK Energy Company8 yearsI could hardly catch a word he was saying, he was talking way too fast and kept calling me Ma’am which I really can’t stand. Then he rang me right back straight away but I just ignored it.8 yearsGot a call from some Indian or Asian guy saying he was from the "UK Energy Department" wanting to chat with the boss. When I asked which company he was with, he couldn't give me a name. I told him I just draw my power straight from the lamp post outside. Sounds totally dodgy to me.UK Energy Department8 yearsJust like loads of others, got this really pushy sales call that felt more like harassment. They wouldn’t admit it was just a cold call trying to sell something, kept going on about a complaint against us but still kept prying about our bills. Proper muppets! Proper annoying!8 yearsI work at a restaurant and got a call from an Asian woman wanting to speak to the owner about some supposed issue with our energy bill. I told her to ring back later. When she asked for the owner’s name, I said I wasn’t allowed to share that but if she actually handled the account, she should have the info already. I ended the call since it seemed like a scam. She called again and shouted, demanding my name. She was super rude and pushy, honestly quite unpleasant.8 yearsThis woman was really pushy, claiming she had my electricity bills right in front of her and that I was getting scammed. When I asked who was ripping me off, she just said "your supplier" but couldn’t even tell me who that was. She kept talking over me and when I said I’m happy with my current provider, she lost it, yelling all sorts of rude things. I told her to take my number off her list since I’m on the TPS, and frankly I was fed up of being hassled by people like her. I ended up telling her to get lost and blocked another annoying call.Telephone Preference Service8 yearsGot a call from some pushy bloke claiming he was with National Grid, kept grilling me with loads of questions. Would be well up for a visit to sort him out myself. Wish I knew where these tosser’s lived, cause they really need a good telling off. What a pain!8 yearsSame old story again, some dodgy caller from Asia kept ringing me nonstop. I wish BT would step up and delete these hijacked UK lines and figure out how they’re being snagged so they can stop it from happening in the first place. If you’ve got some spare time, it’s actually a bit of a laugh messing with them - the ruder they get, the better! Just keep blocking these annoying pests!BTUK8 yearsWe recently received a call from an individual who identified themselves as an Asian man claiming to be from the national grid. Apparently, he had received a complaint regarding our electricity meter. During the conversation, he asked about our electricity provider. Strangely enough, approximately 20 minutes later, the same man called again, but this time he pretended to represent our supplier. As I mentioned that our contract was coming to an end, he became quite persistent. To deal with the situation, I ultimately had to hang up on him. I can't help but wonder how such occurrences are allowed. It's frustrating because it effectively blocks our phoneline and prevents real customers from reaching us!8 yearsI've had this guy ringing me repeatedly, sounds Asian, first it was a woman, then a bloke came on saying he was from my gas company (which he definitely wasn't). I asked nicely for them to remove me from their call list. The bloke responded with "F##k OFF". When he phoned again, I told him again to stop calling and he just shouted "F##k OFF AND GO TO HELL". I couldn’t believe it! Tried sorting it with 02 but they couldn't do anything. Such a shock.8 yearsI got a call from an Asian guy, I think, who kept ringing even after I told him plenty of times to take our number off his list. When I said I’d report him, he got quite nasty. I just ended the call. It’s a pity there’s no proper way to report these people properly.8 yearsHonestly, these lot should be given a good chase and maybe put back with their camels or somethin.8 yearsThe call was reminiscent of an Indian call centre, with a caller of Asian descent contacting me to speak with the owner of the business. However, their story seemed rather inconsistent. Initially, they claimed to represent all gas and electricity suppliers, then narrowed it down to just my electricity supplier. They even went as far as stating they were calling on behalf of a government services department and UK Energy Services Ltd, despite the fact that the latter had ceased operations a decade ago. After some questioning, they put me through to a manager. Unfortunately, their pronunciation was severely lacking, and they had difficulty spelling words such as "consumption". Apparently, there was some issue with our allocated consumption, as well as something related to "semi-" which I couldn't quite understand. Things took an abrupt turn when I requested an email outlining the alleged problems we were facing. They promptly hung up on me without offering any further explanation.UK Energy Services Ltd8 yearsI had an encounter with an extremely impolite individual, whom I believe was of Asian descent. Though they claimed not to be selling anything, they kept rambling about kilowatts per day. I informed them that I was preoccupied with cooking and didn't have time for the call. Despite this, the person called again on another day. I hung up on them, and they promptly called back. I suspect it was indeed them, as I let the answering machine handle the call, but they didn't leave a message. What is their agenda? What do they want from me?8 yearsI kept getting calls on my mobile from 02081337913 non stop until I finally blocked the number. They even used my nickname, which I think one of my new employees must have given them my contact. Proper annoying lot, really rude behaviour. Whenever I hang up, they call back persistently. Even when I express disinterest, they become abusive and threaten to continue calling. It's frustrating that there isn't any resource to report this issue to, aside from the police.8 yearsIf you’ve been contacted by these people, report it straight away to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or through their website. It’s the police who deal with this kind of stuff in the UK, and making a complaint is the best way to try and get these scammers stopped. They said that they could provide power at a cheaper rate for my business. However, when I asked for their London post code, they refused to provide it.
