Absolutely dreadful experience with HP support! Spent a whole hour on the line with them and still no resolution to my problem. Totally frustrating.

So I got a call from someone claiming to be HP support because I was trying to set up my wireless printer. They asked for my phone number so their tech team could call me back. Then, they claimed they had remote access to my laptop and said there was some porn being watched on it, and a huge virus coming from Denmark was linked to my IP address. Luckily, I caught on to the scam before they tried to sell me any protection. The guy turned rude and ended the call.

Today I got a call with the exact same spiel about Curry's needing to check things out. I was setting up a new HP printer on my PC and Mac when this guy suddenly started asking for cash. He claimed my computer was hacked by someone in Denmark, which sounded dodgy. Now I’m stuck trying to fix what he said was a major computer issue. Proper fishy if you ask me.

Today's call was just like the one I got earlier, felt like the same script. This guy said Curry's should really get a grip on what’s going on. He was helping me set up my HP printer on my new PC and Mac, but things got weird when he asked for payment. Then he claimed my computer was hacked by someone from Denmark! Now he’s saying he’s sorting out some major computer issues. Bit fishy if you ask me.

I've seen what others went through, and my story's pretty similar. I let them access my computer for about half an hour before I ended the call. At no point did they ask me for any cash since I hung up on them first. Afterwards, I did a full scan and got rid of any dodgy software that might have been left behind.

I reached out to Canon because my printer wasn't working right. Then, a “technician” got in touch to chat about the issue. But instead of fixing my printer, they were pushing computer security packages priced £189, £289, or £489. The woman on the phone said her name was Jennifer. I never gave them my card info, but I honestly thought I was still dealing with Canon the whole time.

I recently picked up a printer from Currys and called the number HP recommended on their site. It didn't take long to realise it was a scam. The person on the other end claimed I had no firewall set up (which is wrong) and accused me of visiting dodgy websites, which I definitely haven't done. I just told him I’d have my own tech guy check out my computer and ended the call pretty sharpish!

Beware of the number 02081337717, it looks like some sort of scam trying to get help or something. Really dodgy, would stay clear if I were you.

I was struggling to connect my HP wireless printer, so I reached out to their online help. They ended up giving me this phone number to call. The guy on the line, with an Indian accent and calling himself Michael, told me someone from abroad was messing with my PC. He said I had to pay £199.99 for one year, £249.99 for three years, or £399.99 for lifetime protection to get rid of the hacker. Total rip off, definitely a con!

This bloke claimed to be Jack Wilson from some company called Websolving LLC. I honestly thought I was chatting with the HP support team. He then started asking for around £400, supposedly for a five-year care plan. All I wanted was some help setting up my new HP wireless printer, but that’s still not sorted. Luckily, my bank stopped the payment and alerted me that it looked dodgy and possibly a scam.

I called this number thinking it was Hewlett Packard, but turns out it was a trick. They claimed my computer was hacked and my email was being used to send out inappropriate content. They asked to access my device remotely to sort out the problem. Believing it was HP, I agreed. They even said they were from HP's Florida branch. They tried to get me to buy a lifetime firewall package for £399.99. Luckily, my bank spotted the fraud and stopped the payment, cancelling my card straight away. They warned me it was a scam.

I called this number thinking it was HP on the line. The person said my email was being used to send porn and that my computer had been hacked. They asked for remote access to "sort" the problem. Believing it was really HP, I went along with it. They claimed to be from HP’s Florida branch. Then they tried to get me to pay £399.99 upfront for some kind of lifetime firewall. Luckily, my bank spotted something dodgy and blocked the transaction, cancelling my card shortly after. They warned me it was a scam all along.

Had some people pretending to be from office support, real loud and annoying on the phone. Turns out they nicked my office product key too! Proper dodgy.

So I rung this number after struggling to get Office installed on my new laptop. They said they were tech support from Microsoft. Took my Office activation key before I even caught on, and then they got really nasty and started threatening me.

I think it had something to do with McAfee causing probs when I tried to get my internet service back up.
