Today I got a call from someone claiming to be from my phone company o2, saying they had discounts for me. I said I knew it was a scam and hung up. Then I rang o2 to check and they confirmed it wasn’t them and made a note of it.

Got a call from this number in Belfast, NI, just about a week before Christmas when I was at work. Didn’t know who it was so I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away. Seems like that was a smart move, seeing how many folks in the comments mentioned it being a scam!

Got a call from this number today around 10am, 1st August 2021. The person said they were from the tax office and claimed there was fraud linked to my name. They warned if I didn’t reply, they’d press charges and I might end up getting arrested. Sounds like a total scam to me.

This number called me yesterday, Tuesday 29 December 2020, at 4:27 pm and there was no sound on the line. I found it quite invasive, like they were trying to figure out where I was. Then again today, the 30th December 2020 at 2:34 pm, I got another silent call from the same number, which made me look it up. The silent calls are really frustrating. I reckon they’re hoping I'll be the one to say "Hello" first, but I don’t respond when I don’t know who’s calling and wasn’t expecting it.

Then Today, 30th December 2020, the same number rang me again at 14:34 but still no sound, which made me curious to look up who it was. The quietness on their end is really irritating. I received a couple of calls from this number when I wasn't able to answer my phone - one at 11:00 and another at 11:54 on Christmas Eve 2020. I have a hunch it's likely some sort of sales or scam call, especially since I’ve come across reports of several others being contacted by the same number. Best to be cautious!

My phone provider marked this number as a possible scammer - High Risk! So I wouldnt pick up, just block and report it. If you do answer, never share any personal info, insurance stuff, or bank details. If you already gave info, make sure to cancel your cards, tell your bank straight away, and note down everything they said including any names. Then report it to the police cyber crime team.

I got a call from an asian guy who sounded pretty rude when I tried getting him to tell me who he was calling for. He kept claiming it was a car insurance coordinating firm but never gave me the actual name. Every time I asked what company he was with, he got more annoyed. At the beginning of the call, I could hear a bunch of people laughing in the background - it made me wonder if they’d just pulled off a scam on someone else?

Got loads of calls about car accident claims, saying I should claim compensation if it wasn’t my fault. Each time I block one number, another pops up right after. In just a couple days, I’ve had around 15 from different numbers like 02032878466, 03302230264, 02081336657 and plenty more. Definitely just a scam trying to get you. Best just to hang up and block, but be ready for more numbers popping up constantly. Wish you luck dodging these!
