Today I got a call from someone claiming to be from my phone company o2, saying they had discounts for me. I said I knew it was a scam and hung up. Then I rang o2 to check and they confirmed it wasn’t them and made a note of it.

Got a call from this number in Belfast, NI, just about a week before Christmas when I was at work. Didn’t know who it was so I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away. Seems like that was a smart move, seeing how many folks in the comments mentioned it being a scam!

I received a call earlier today (1st August 2021) at precisely 10:12am, claiming to be from the HM Revenue. They informed me that there was some sort of fraudulent activity linked to my name and warned that failure to reply would result in legal action, potentially leading to my arrest. Clearly, it’s nothing more than a scam!

This number called me yesterday, Tuesday 29 December 2020, at 4:27 pm and there was no sound on the line. I found it quite invasive, like they were trying to figure out where I was. Then again today, the 30th December 2020 at 2:34 pm, I got another silent call from the same number, which made me look it up. The silent calls are really frustrating. I reckon they’re hoping I'll be the one to say "Hello" first, but I don’t respond when I don’t know who’s calling and wasn’t expecting it.

On the 23rd of December, 2020, my Android device flagged this number as spam, prompting me to ignore it and not pick up.

I have a hunch it's likely some sort of sales or scam call, especially since I’ve come across reports of several others being contacted by the same number. Best to be cautious!

My phone provider marked this number as a possible scammer - High Risk! So I wouldnt pick up, just block and report it. If you do answer, never share any personal info, insurance stuff, or bank details. If you already gave info, make sure to cancel your cards, tell your bank straight away, and note down everything they said including any names. Then report it to the police cyber crime team.

I got a call from an asian guy who sounded pretty rude when I tried getting him to tell me who he was calling for. He kept claiming it was a car insurance coordinating firm but never gave me the actual name. Every time I asked what company he was with, he got more annoyed. At the beginning of the call, I could hear a bunch of people laughing in the background - it made me wonder if they’d just pulled off a scam on someone else?

I've been inundated with calls regarding car insurance accident claims, and I can't stress enough how you should not engage with them. I've received a staggering 15 calls over just two days! Every time I think I've blocked one number, another pops up with the same dreadful pitch of "Have you had an accident that wasn't your fault?" It's all a complete con, so do yourself a favour and just ignore these nuisances. The numbers I've encountered include 02032878466, 02032876336, 03302230264, 02081336657, 02081237222, 02081237235, and 03450305813, but there are plenty more where they came from. I keep blocking them, yet their persistence knows no bounds. Best of luck to you!
