This time someone with an Asian accent called, saying his name was Kevin Telex. When I asked nicely where he got my info from, he kept pushing me to give him more personal stuff like my postcode, address, and date of birth. When I refused and asked why he needed all that, he just ended the call.

Got a robo call saying it was HMRC, telling me I’m being looked into for tax fraud and there’s a warrant for my arrest. They asked me to press 1 to talk to someone, which I did, but then the call just ended. Was about to ring back but decided to have a look here first. Since I’ve had my identity stolen before, I nearly believed it was real until I saw what everyone else is saying.

These people are seriously dangerous. They claim they're from Carphone Warehouse and offer you a great deal. Then they get your info. They’re sneaky - they use your bank details to order a cheap phone and send it to your place, and take your expensive phone in return. They’re pretty clever but in a bad way. Please watch out for them. It happened to me recently, that’s why I’m sharing this. Stay safe, everyone.

I received a call from the number 02081336363, where they were trying to sell me a phone with a contract. Shortly after, they dispatched an iPhone 11 to me. When I got in touch with them, they claimed it wasn’t mine and demanded its return via post. I complied and sent it back, but then, astonishingly, they repeated the exact same scenario. I expressed my frustration, saying it felt like I was working for them instead of the other way around. They insisted on sending me a phone and a tablet, but now when I call them every single day, it seems I’m getting ghosted.

I received a call recently, and the voice on the other end seemed quite youthful - sounded like a young girl. Being a teen myself, I didn't feel the need to stick around for any sort of business chit-chat, so I ended up disconnecting. But not before this ‘girl’ repeated hello three times. I received a rather pleasant call from a chap with an exotic accent, who informed me that I was entitled to a refund-how charming of him! When I mentioned that a cheque would suit me just perfectly, his supervisor insisted that I had to be at home to collect it. I suggested mailing it instead. However, it seems that posting cheques has become some sort of taboo in their world. Since it’s my own money, he offered to transfer it directly into my bank account. I countered that if it truly was my money, sending a cheque shouldn’t be an issue. He abruptly ended the call-how impolite!

Some bloke with an Indian accent called himself ‘Micheal’ and said he could sort out unsecured loans. I asked if he could lend me a million quid. When he said no, I told him he wasn’t worth my time and ended the call!

This number has called me out of the blue and, after holding for a moment, I picked up and said hello, but there was nothing on the other end. Quite confusing, really! I've seen similar accounts from others about this same number. I’d really like to block it from my home phone, but I’m a bit stumped on how to go about doing it. I received a call from a chap I didn’t recognise, who inquired if I was the person he was looking for. I confirmed that it was indeed me he was after. Strangely, he just said "ok" and promptly ended the conversation. He had a distinct accent that seemed to be Indian or possibly Pakistani. Quite odd, really.

got a call from an asian lady who asked for me by name, claiming to be from the ministry of justice - yeah right! she told me i owed £5,000 from a personal injury payout that was supposedly approved. i told her to just send me a cheque, thinking i'd mess around with her a bit. then she asked me to grab a pen so i could write down a reference number. figured why not. turns out the letters spelled out F##K. i hung up straightaway. if you get a call from this number, just ignore it and don’t bother calling back.

got a call at my house saying a solicitor would show up in half an hour. they even used the name of a local solicitor firm and knew my address, mentioning a cheque for some ppi claim. sounded pretty legit apart from their odd accent and how they were quite pushy. i said i’d get the cops involved aswell and then they just ended the call.

Got a call from a bloke named Paul Gibson, sounded Asian, said it was about some PPI claim. He wanted me to buy an iTunes card worth £220 to cover some tax. Played along for a good 20 minutes until he realised I wasn’t falling for it. Ended up telling him exactly what I thought and he just hung up. What a scam!

Got a call from an asian guy who said his name was Jasper, said he was calling from co-op bank but didn’t really know their rules. When i questioned him, he just tried to dodge the conversation. Then he got pushy until i said I’d report him to the cops, then he just cut the call. Pretty clear it was a phishing attempt so don’t give them any info.

I received a call from someone claiming to be an old friend from my childhood, but I genuinely couldn't remember who he was. He was rather vague about the reason for his ring, which set off alarm bells for me. It felt very much like a scam, so I decided to hang up.

some asian guy claimed he was someone called mike, said we were childhood pals. didnt sound familiar and i never had a mate by that name as a kid, asian or not. could hear loads of noise in the background like it was from some call centre. told him i was gonna hang up. thinking this was a dodgy scam, so flagged it as risky.
