13 yearsIt’s not a scam, they were really helpful to me.13 yearsGot a call today from a woman who said her name was Janet William, claiming to represent Microsoft Windows. She told me my computer had sent a warning that it was being hacked. I told her I didn’t have time and she gave me her number to call back in the morning. I knew straight away it was a scam. She said she’d ring me again later. It’s truly disappointing how shameless these scammers are. Even worse is thinking about how some of these types end up working in places like hospitals or caring for vulnerable people. Shame the police don’t seem bothered to track these calls down anymore. Hopefully this story will warn others dealing with the same scam. Cheers, Steve Phillips.Janet WilliamsSteve Phillips13 yearsGot a call saying my computer was hacked and they could sort it for £690.
