On the 14th of August, I got a call from 02081335870. The person claimed to be from the government saying I had money owed to me. They asked if I wanted it in cash or as a cheque. I chose cheque, and then they said someone would visit my home to deliver it. I called them a scammer and ended the call straight away.

Same as what others said, he rang a Sheffield number, 01143605879. My wife was on the line with him and I quickly showed her the who-called info. She ended the call straight away. Then, no more than a few seconds later, he phoned back from a different number. I told him I looked up the number and was well aware it was a scam. After that, I told him to bugger off and slammed the phone down.

Got a call from an Asian gentleman claiming to be from some Government office. He said the bank had mistakenly taken £3,000 too much from me. I wasn't having any of it and told him to shove the money where the sun doesn't shine and to buzz off. They really should do something about these kinds of calls, but I reckon BT are making a tidy profit from all of it.

Got a call from someone saying "This is Tom Smith" with a strong Indian accent, claiming he was ringing from the Ministry of Justice. He told me I was owed £3,000 for bank fees paid by mistake and that I’d get a call tomorrow about a cheque. He asked for my address and some photo ID details, which I refused to give. When I said I had a question, he just cut me off and hung up. Seriously, avoid this number - it’s dodgy and could land you in trouble!

There was this bloke, an Asian guy, who called my missus saying she’s owed £3000 from the Ministry of Justice. It’s crazy how these con artists keep pulling off stuff like this. It’s a real worry, especially for folks who might not be so sharp with phone scams - they could easily fall for it. Something really needs to be done to stop these scammers.

Some bloke calling himself Henry with an Asian accent rang claiming he was from the Ministry of Justice, wanting to chat about money stuff. I couldn’t help but crack up at how obvious the con was. Told him sorry but I was laughing too much to take it seriously. Asked if he fancied a hand or something. The abuse he spat back was unreal! Safe to say, that scam got busted big time.

Got a call from this number 0208 1335870, claimed to be from the Ministry of Justice. When I asked for a callback number, the person just refused and ended the call. Made me wonder how they can sleep at night, trying to con folks like this. Seems just like all the other scam calls I've been getting recently. Suspicious, to say the least.

Received a call from a bloke saying he was with the ministry of justice, but his English sounded a bit dodgy. I got suspicious straight away and ended the call. Then I let my bank know about it. Definitely a scammer trying to pull a fast one. Watch out for this kind of thing!

Got a phone call from a guy speaking poor English claiming to be from the ministry of justice. I told him I don’t take unsolicited calls. He kept insisting it was from a government dept and not a private call. I just told him I wasn’t interested and hung up. This is the second call in two days; the last one was really rude, calling me an idiot and asking if I was stupid. Quite unpleasant!

Got a call like the one mentioned before, saying I’m due £3000. I asked them to post the cheque, and they even had my address 🤨. I told them it sounded dodgy, but they insisted someone would bring the cheque tomorrow and I’d need to prove my ID. I just ended the call, told them it’s a total scam and asked why it’s supposedly my money?? Such a load of rubbish!

Around 10:54, I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be with the Ministry of Justice. He told me I was entitled to a refund of more than £3000. I cut him off pretending to be really chuffed, thanked him, told him to send the cheque, then just ended the call. Total scam, no doubt about it.

Got a call at 10:10 from someone named Andrew Jones claiming to be with the Ministry of Justice. He had a strange accent and you could hear other people chatting in the background like it was a call centre. I told him I wasn’t buying it and he actually asked why in a rather rude way. I just ended the call there and then.

Got a call like 5 mins ago from someone saying they were from the ministry of justice, telling me the bank owed me £3000 for overpaying. They asked how I wanted the money sent and which account to use. When I asked if I could get it in cash, they seemed a bit annoyed. Said I'd get a cancellation letter first thing tomorrow morning. Can’t wait to see if it actually shows up in the post!

Got a call around 11:45 from a bloke with an Asian accent who called himself Sam, said he was ringing from some ministry. He wanted to speak to Mrs something about an application she’d put in. I told him she’s moved to China now, and then he goes, “How come you speak Chinese?” That’s when I ended the call and blocked the number straight away.
