I picked up the phone and there was total quiet on the other end. I was just about to put the phone down when a woman with a strong accent said she was calling from some kind of internet support. I just said "no thanks" and ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be my internet company, looking to talk to the account holder. The caller was a woman with an accent and never asked for anyone specifically. I found it odd since BT would never ring our number from an 02 prefix. We've been getting loads of dodgy calls pretending to be from our internet provider, warning us about supposed security issues and telling us to call some other number or risk losing our service. Total scam, no doubt about it.
