I got a call from this number, and it was a polite guy with an Asian accent pretending to be from my bank. He kept asking for my account info, but I knew something was off. Definitely a scammer trying to trick me.

I usually don’t pick up calls from unknown numbers, so I have no idea who this might be. If it’s someone who really wants to get in touch, they’d probably leave a message, but that's never the case!!

This guy claimed to be calling from 3 but kept pushing me for my bank info.

I got a call from some ladies with Asian accents, they sounded legit and were offering me a lower phone bill and even said I could get half price off a brand new iPhone.

Turned out it wasn’t Virgin at all like they said.

I picked up the phone and the caller just dropped the line immediately, seems like they were hoping I’d ring back since it’s a premium rate number. I’ve just blocked it now. Definitely don’t bother calling 02081334664 back. If you call that number from your home phone, it could charge you as much as 16p a minute plus a set-up fee near 23p. On mobiles, charges vary a lot - from 3p up to 65p a minute depending on your network provider.

Somebody rang claiming they were from Lebara, but I just told them to jog on and hung up straight away. Honestly, I don’t even trust my own mum these days.

They called me saying they were from Vodafone, EE and even Car Phone Warehouse, telling me I’d won some kind of offer. Then they started asking for my personal details. I don’t even buy from those firms, and funny enough, they never suggest popping into a store to sort the discount out properly. Seems dodgy to me.

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be from Vodafone, offering some special deal. They actually knew my name, but didn’t realise I switched providers half a year ago. They asked about my current phone and said I was after a new one. I told them I never get phones through contracts and wasn’t interested in renewing anything. Ended the chat right there.

Someone rang claiming to be from Vodafone and wanted to know how much my last bill was and which phone I have. I told them that if they were truly Vodafone, they’d already have all that info. The call just cut off suddenly after that. They said something about a 50% discount on my bill - yeah right! There’s no chance I’m giving out any personal details. Honestly, Vodafone already have all that stored on their system if it’s legit.
