Suspected it was a scam so I just let it go to voicemail. Got a message right after from a robotic female voice claiming to be from HMRC about some urgent legal matter involving my business (which I dont have!) and warning that if I don’t call back and speak to my lawyer there would be severe consequences. I’m not daft enough to fall for it but it did sound pretty scary, and I imagine some folks might feel pressured to phone them back.

Some woman rang me with that classic road traffic accident scam, claiming the Road Traffic Accident Department had sent them the details. I couldn't help but chuckle, so I just ended the call.

I had a rather suspicious call earlier, mate. A bloke on the line was trying to entice me with an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus for a mere thirty quid a month. He seemed a bit off, so I decided to play it cool and mentioned I could only swing twenty quid monthly. To my surprise, he agreed to provide me with the iPhone 7 Plus sans any initial payment. That's when things took a dodgy turn - he began probing for my personal details, including my banking information. I inquired about his location, and he mentioned he was from Pakistan, yet claimed the call centre was based in London. When I pressed him for the office address, he fumbled and couldn't provide a clear answer. Just a heads-up, folks - this one’s definitely a scam, so stay vigilant!

These muppets must be grabbing your info from ads on gumtree. The moment I put something up for sale, they started blowing my phone up! I ignored one call and they phoned right back again. I just won't pick up, but if I do, I’m thinking of pretending to be the cops and see how they react. Never hand over your bank details, it’s definitely a con!!!!!

Got a call and, naively, I agreed to a deal for an iPhone 7 at £25 a month! They said they'd just take £1 to do a credit check, but then, 2 days later, £2450 got taken from my account in 3 separate payments!! Really avoid these lot! Make sure you check who’s calling before you agree to anything.
