2 yearsHe claimed to be from Barclays, saying there was suspicious activity on my account involving Apple and JD Sports, and that my account would be frozen. I let him chat for a while before telling him he was just a scammer 🤬🤬🤬🤬Barclays BankAppleJD Sports7 yearsI’ve just had a rather dodgy phone call from someone claiming to be selling shiny new iPhone Xs for a mere £30 a month, with no payment upfront! When I informed him that it’s unlawful to contact me like that, he insisted it wasn’t the case. After I confronted him about being a scam artist, he turned quite nasty! He started swearing, throwing threats my way, and even had the gall to refer to himself as “a bad boy”! By the time I pressed the block option on my phone, he had the audacity to ring me back not once, but twice! What a cheek!7 yearsSomeone called tryin to sell me an iPhone and a contract deal.7 yearsExercise caution, everyone! This seems to be a dodgy scheme. Whether it's a fella or a lady, they're attempting to lure you in with offers that seem too good to be true, like a shiny new iPhone X or the latest Samsung model at a ridiculously low monthly rate. Whatever you do, don’t go signing any contracts! Once you give them the go-ahead, they’ll misuse your banking information to order all sorts of phones from various sources in your name. Next thing you know, you’ll have the wrong model delivered, and they'll be ringing you up, insisting you return it due to some supposed mix-up, while trying to woo you with the lure of a “free” tablet or gift. Don’t fall for it - it's all talk, and you’ll end up tangled in an array of unwanted contracts. Stay sharp and be wise!Samsung7 yearsI just received a call that seemed to originate from a call centre somewhere in the Far East, possibly China. There was this incessantly loud noise, reminiscent of a bustling call centre. The person on the line, who was from some nebulous investigations department, insisted on confirming whether I had been involved in a car crash over the past two years. After a brief exchange, I decided to hang up, only for that very same woman to ring me back straight away, claiming I had cut her off! So, I promptly hung up once more!
