Phone number ☎️ 02081333448 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving callers impersonating officials from the London County Court or similar bodies, falsely claiming victims are due PPI refunds or compensation cheques. The fraudsters often demand payment upfront in the form of iTunes or Paysafe vouchers as a supposed commission or government fee before the cheque can be delivered. The callers tend to have foreign accents and use various names and phone numbers. Genuine courts or authorities would never request payment via vouchers nor send unsolicited cheques for PPI claims. Victims are urged to remain vigilant, avoid sharing voucher details, and verify claims independently through official channels. Reporting incidents to the police or Action Fraud is highly advised.

Greetings from Jersey! I recently received a rather dubious phone call claiming that my late wife-may she rest in peace-had some PPI sold under her name, and that I was owed a sum of £3,100. They tried to con me into sending £425 worth of iTunes gift cards. After a bit of digging, it became clear this was a scam. What makes it truly appalling is they used my dearly departed wife's information to swindle me. It’s sickening, especially since I’m still mourning her battle with cancer. If you get a call from 02032868676, steer clear! Thanks, Jersey.

I received a rather suspicious phone call from 02081445561, where the bloke claimed to be John Lr from the London County Court dispatch office. He mentioned that a cheque for £4300 might arrive today courtesy of Mr Eric Wilson, provided I purchased iTunes vouchers worth £215 to settle some government fee. When I requested a written document for reference, he insisted that he could only send it via email and not through the post! He also provided a case reference number, TGR02, to mention when I return the call on that same number. Quite dubious, if you ask me!

I've been continually pestered by this number, with them rattling off my address and banking details. They claimed to have a cheque for £5000, but insisted that I needed to buy an iTunes voucher before they could hand it over. It’s alarming how many vulnerable individuals might be falling victim to this scam; surely there’s a way to track how many people they’re preying on?

I’ve just received a similar phone call from a man of Asian descent, insisting that I purchase an iTunes card for £215. He claimed he’d personally deliver a cheque for £4,300! What a load of nonsense!

I've just received a rather dodgy phone call from an Asian gentleman claiming to be affiliated with London County Court. He mentioned a cheque for £6,700, supposedly linked to a claim I made back in 2011. Whatever you do, steer clear of this! It’s clearly a scam. No legitimate court would ever request that you purchase anything in order to receive a cheque.

Received a phone call from that number listed above, echoing all the same information. They claimed there was a PPI refund of £4,300 waiting for me, but I needed to purchase iTunes vouchers to facilitate the payment. Sounds like a right dodgy scam to me! I insisted they send everything through the post, and now... crickets. Not a peep since!

I received a call from the above number and they mentioned exactly the same as stated above; however, they didn’t mention anything about a voucher. Do exercise caution, as these folks attempt to lure you in with promises of cash. Remember, if something appears too good to be true, it probably is. If you suspect you have PPI, reach out to a company you trust directly. Also, there's no such thing as a county court dispatch team - it's all part of the too-many scams circulating nowadays. Always be alert unless you are the one making the call. Stay safe and guard your hard-earned money!

I've had a similar experience with that number today, they requested £4300 from me. They claimed I needed to pay 5% of the total in iTunes vouchers before they would send the cheque. It makes you wonder why the authorities aren't stepping in to apprehend these crooks!

I recently had a peculiar phone call from an individual who undoubtedly had an accent typical of an Asian origin, yet claimed to be called Mark Hirst-a rather curious contradiction, I must say. He seemed to follow the usual script, asking for a hefty £225 in iTunes vouchers in exchange for a PPI cheque purportedly worth £3100. It makes me wonder how many unsuspecting individuals fall prey to such dubious tactics; one must question the authorities' response to this ongoing issue. While the call came from a withheld number, they promptly requested that I ring 02036085792 to validate my acquisition of the vouchers. Remarkably, the chap supposed to deliver my cheque was introduced as Simon Turner.

I received a call from the number 02081230501. An Asian gentleman named John was on the line, asserting he was from Central London County Court and that there was a cheque awaiting delivery to my address. He mentioned that a local delivery chap named Mr Eric Wilson would be the one dropping it off. The odd part was that he insisted I first buy some Apple vouchers worth £210. I had my reservations and firmly told him that I wouldn’t be parting with any money for vouchers until the cheque was actually in my hands and cleared.

I recently received a phone call from a chap with an Asian accent who claimed to be representing the London County Court. He mentioned that I was due to receive a cheque for £4002 as part of a settlement. However, he tried to persuade me to buy some Apple gift cards worth £210 from Tesco before the cheque was supposedly sent my way on Tuesday. My gut feeling screamed that this was a scam, so I told him to go ahead and send the cheque first. Once it was safely in my account, I’d consider paying the 5% fee he mentioned.

My partner received a similar call today... he decided to respond by spelling out the code with a few choice expletives... then he launched into a right tirade about how they’re scamming folks! The bloke on the other end actually called him psychotic! But my husband didn’t back down and kept giving him a earful!

I recently received a phone call from a chap named Mr Eric Wisdom, who alleged that there's a cheque for £4200 on hold for me, ready to be delivered. He instructed me to purchase £210 in iTunes vouchers and then get in touch again for verification. My instincts kicked in, and I suspected it was a con, so I did a bit of digging and, indeed, it turned out to be a scam.

I recently received a phone call from a person with an Asian accent who professed to be representing the City County Court in London. He mentioned that a cheque for £2850, related to mis-sold PPI - a sum exceeding my original loan amount - would soon be delivered to me. He also provided a contact number, which was 02080770357. Concerned about the legitimacy of this call, I reached out to the Action Fraud Squad at 03001232040 to report the incident and urge them to look into this possible scam. It's crucial for as many individuals as possible to report such fraudulent activities; this way, the police stand a better chance of piecing together a profile of these tricksters.

Some chap just informed me that they've shut their doors for the day since the court wrapped up at midday. This was on the 22nd of October, 2016, around 15:18. He said he'd ring me back on Monday after 10 in the morning, and he claims to be stationed at 137 Finchley Road, NW3 6JG. He mentioned they're part of the Central London Court Dispatch Team, but as I’m not in the same boat as him, I’ll be waiting for the dubious call, though I shan’t be getting my hopes up, haha! I've heard that PPI Claim Line operates from that address, and frankly, I find it hard to believe they have any genuine ties to a court. Since when does a court even have a dispatch team? Seems a bit fishy to me!

I received a rather dubious call from a chap named Keith Williams, who sounded Asian. He rang me from 0208 123 9872, insisting that I was owed a refund of £7700 for some PPI nonsense. Apparently, a certain Thomas Jones was supposedly going to pop by my place tonight to deliver the cheque personally! However, there was a catch-a rather fishy 5% commission of £385, which they wanted to be loaded onto an Apple prepaid card. Honestly, it all seems far too good to be genuine... I've got my suspicions about this one. The number again is 0208 123 9872.

On the 21st of July 2016, I encountered a rather alarming situation. A person by the name of Simon Turner, albeit from a new phone number-02081443608-attempted to swindle me for £225 via paysafe. What a right con! I received a phone call at 11.40am this morning from a chap with a rather thick accent - sounded like he was from Africa and he was rather hard to understand, if I'm honest. He claimed to be ringing from the City County Court, saying I was set to receive a cheque for a whopping £2,850. To my astonishment, he seemed to know about a loan I’d taken out with Capital One and my address, too. He mentioned that my delivery bloke, the rather busy Simon Turner, would swing by my place tomorrow morning to hand over the cheque and instructed me to provide him with the PIN numbers from a pay safe voucher worth £225. Feeling a bit daft, I popped into W.H. Smith only to discover I could only grab a voucher for £125. Thankfully, my sister tipped me off and I decided to do a bit of research online. Tomorrow, I shall be contacting the action fraud hotline to report this nonsense.

Similar to a recent comment I stumbled upon, I too received a dubious message from the same individuals. I've received a call from the number 0208 1233893, from a chap named Mark Hurst who had a bit of a foreign twang to his voice. He claimed to be representing the County Court of London and mentioned that a Simon Turner would pop by my place at 6 this evening, cheque in hand for £3,100 regarding a PPI reimbursement for a loan I had with Halifax. Apparently, Mr. Turner would bring along some legal paperwork for me to sign. I received a rather perplexing phone call from a gentleman named Edward, who had a distinctly American twang. He claimed to be calling from the City County Court and spun a tale about a £3,800 cheque that was supposedly on its way via courier. Today I received several calls supposedly from the dispatch team over at London County Court. An Asian gentleman named Gareth was on the line, claiming that my recent personal injury claim hadn’t been settled properly and that I was owed an additional £4,200. The typical narrative ensued-he instructed me to purchase pay safe vouchers and assured me that a chap would come round with my cheque before 7 this evening in exchange for those vouchers. I just received a phone call from a chap claiming to represent the London County Courts, stating that I had a £4200 compensation waiting for me regarding my injury claim. He mentioned that their representative could swing by today to hand over the cheque, but I would need to send them £210 in paysafe vouchers. Just yesterday, an Asian chap named Simon rang me up, sweetly claiming that I was due a cheque for £2900 from the "City County Court of London" concerning some mis-sold PPI. All it required from me was to buy £290 worth of Paysafe card vouchers, which, by the way, was to cover their extravagant 10% fee. They promised to send someone round to hand me the cheque once I had those vouchers in hand. Curiosity got the better of me, and I thought I’d play their little game. So, I booked an appointment for this supposed delivery. When the time arrived, I switched off all my lights and had a sneaky peek outside. Not long after, I spotted a bloke loitering about, ringing my home phone, urging me to ring 02081333448 immediately, as he claimed they were right at my door with my cash. He rang a couple more times, but after a bit, he gave up and hopped into a car, driving off into the distance. Please, I urge everyone, do not fall for these dodgy tactics. I received a rather peculiar call today from an Asian gentleman who introduced himself as either "Jasam" or "John." He claimed to be representing "The London County Court, Dispatch Department" and insisted that I needed to come in today to sign for a cheque amounting to £2,300. The catch was that I’d have to wait a few days before paying him 10% of that amount. To add to the oddity, he mentioned I’d also need to sign some paperwork linked to an "Eric Wilson" and retain a copy for my records as a proof of a "legal document."
