I got a rather alarming text earlier from this number claiming to be from HMRC. They provided a reference code, WC4589, and alleged that I’d committed an offence, threatening me with an arrest warrant. When I attempted to call the number back, I was greeted with a recorded message stating that no one was available to speak to me. Strangely enough, they didn't even refer to me by name in the text! Quite suspicious, if you ask me.

I cannot believe the audacity of these despicable scammers! An elderly lady of 86 years was absolutely petrified by a call claiming she was going to be imprisoned for some crime she'd supposedly committed. It's utterly appalling how these heartless individuals prey on vulnerable people, leaving them in a state of distress. It's high time we started cracking down on these vile perpetrators who think it’s acceptable to make such horrific calls.

Received a voicemail claiming it was a grievance from HMRC and that there’s a warrant out for my arrest. Utter rubbish, really, but incredibly annoying nonetheless!

I received a call from this number claiming that a police arrest warrant has been issued on behalf of HMRC, urging me to return the call for further discussion.

It's definitely a scam; I would recommend blocking this number immediately.

I've had a couple of rather alarming phone calls recently. The first one claimed to be from HMRC, asserting that there was a case being filed against me. Then, not long after, another call came through, threatening that there was a warrant out for my arrest and they provided this number for me to ring back. I'm quite shaken and distressed by it all, so I reached out to my daughter, who assured me it was nothing but a scam. Nevertheless, I can't shake off this worry; they even mentioned a warrant number, WC4589. Out of concern, I decided to search this number to see if anyone else had experienced similar calls. How can I put an end to this?

I received a call from a gentleman with an Asian accent who was very aggressive, insisting I could face arrest. When I decided to return the call, someone picked up claiming to be from HMRC and asked for my National Insurance number. Clearly, this is nothing more than a scam!
