Got a call from someone saying they were from British Gas, offering a renewal quote. Took me ages to realise it was just a bother and not legit. Proper annoying, if you ask me.

The dodgy bit? The recorded call twisted my answers so it sounded like I agreed to stuff I didn’t, locking me into a longer contract with way higher charges. They definitely aren’t legit British Gas and aren’t regulated by the ombudsman either. Got caught up in it last year and it was a nightmare trying to cancel.

I get calls loads from an 01244 number every day about a new electricity deal. They kept talking about this inc VAT and ex VAT thing but honestly, I had to explain it to them because they couldn't make it clear. A bit annoying really!

i got a call from someone claiming to offer lower electricity rates, pushing me to switch to a different energy deal supposedly with delta electricity & power services. sounded like a sales pitch to me.
