3 yearsHello there, I had a rather frustrating experience when I attempted to reach out to Microsoft for some remote support concerning my laptop. A number rang me back, and I found myself on the phone for over an hour. They persistently urged me to log into my Amazon account to verify my banking information. When I mentioned that I was unable to do so due to a password issue, they then pressured me to download Anydesk from my mobile app store to gain access. I eventually lost my temper and expressed my displeasure quite colourfully, at which point they abruptly terminated the call. What a palaver!MicrosoftAmazonAnydesk3 yearsI received a rather concerning phone call from someone claiming to be Max William (not sure if that's his actual name) who informed me that my account was allegedly frozen due to a security breach. He urged me to rush to my nearest Santander branch and conduct a transfer of £12,000 to an account he'd provide, complete with its sort code. He assured me that my funds would remain untouched, and that this peculiar transaction would help him catch the supposed perpetrator, who apparently was employed at a Santander branch in Luton. It was evident from the start that this was a scam. Naturally, I didn't proceed with the transfer, and in reality, my account was perfectly fine. I maintained continuous communication with the Santander fraud prevention team throughout the ordeal.Max WilliamSantanderLuton3 yearsI reckon this number belongs to a con artist. A chap calling himself Max managed to swindle my parents out of a whopping £16,000! It's rather alarming how these criminals operate.MaxSubmit Your Own Report (020 8133 0625)
