3 yearsHey, I got a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft about helping me with my laptop remotely. They kept me on the line for over an hour trying to get me to log into my Amazon account to check my bank info. When I said I couldn’t because the password was wrong, they then wanted me to go to my phone’s app store and download Anydesk so they could access it. I got really fed up, started swearing at them, and then they just hung up on me.MicrosoftAmazonAnydesk3 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be Max William (or something like that) saying my account was frozen because it’d been hacked. He told me to go straight to a Santander branch nearby and transfer £12k to an account he’d provide with sort code and all. According to him, the money wouldn’t actually leave my account but the transfer would help catch the person responsible, who he said surprisingly worked at the Luton Santander branch. Obviously it was a total scam, so I didn’t send any money and my account was never frozen at all. I made sure to stay in contact with Santander’s fraud team throughout.Max WilliamSantanderLuton3 yearsBeware of this number, it’s connected to a scammer. Some bloke named Max phoned my mum and dad and managed to con them out of £16,000. Don’t trust any calls from here!MaxSubmit Your Own Report (020 8133 0625)
