Some bloke named Harry from India kept ringing me like 9 times over 15 minutes, threatening to k#### me and calling me a British bastard. I warned him I'd report it to the police, but he just swore at the police instead. After a long 12-hour night shift, the abuse was just horrible. I can’t even switch my phone off cause my dad’s really sick with cancer right now. Haven’t had a wink of sleep. This has got to end.

Got a call right before 8 tonight, they called me by my business name (I’m just a one-man operation working from home). They rattled off my postcode and wanted me to confirm it, but I didn’t give anything away. Mentioned something about the National Grid and who supplies my electricity. The voice sounded like it was from an Indian call centre and I struggled to understand him properly. I asked what his purpose was, but he just babbled nonsense. So I told him he was talking rubbish, ended the call, and blocked the number straight away. Definitely one of those scam calls.

Got a call again from these dodgy lot. They said they were from the national grid and claimed there was an issue with my electric supply. The bloke on the phone was really rude. I asked for the company’s exact name and he said something like national complaints, but he couldn’t even tell me who my energy supplier was. They ring me all the time, like loads of times a day. Saying they're from The Energy Council and that our bills are way too high for gas and electric. I've told them over and over I'm not interested and to stop calling, but they just don't listen. Proper annoying!

Got calls from some Asian folks claiming to be from The Energy Council. Said the National Grid flagged up my bills were wrong, saying I was charged for 23,000 units but only used 16,000. Asked for a manager who just repeated the same. Told them I do my own meter readings and just put one in, but they said companies own and control the meters. Couldn't even tell me who my energy provider was. Told them to stop wasting my time. I’m getting like 5 to 8 calls a week, supposedly from the National Grid or some group trying to switch my energy supplier.

These lot should be reported to the trading standards or even the cops for pestering about their business. We made it clear we didn’t want to switch suppliers but they kept ringing about gas and electric contracts every single day. When you push back, they get really rude. Seriously, don’t hand over your info - it’s definitely a scam.

This Asian guy rings our office nearly every evening about 6pm wanting to talk to the business owner. We’ve told him the owner doesn’t want any chats but he just keeps on calling. Proper irritating.

Really strange, this number keeps ringing my job (it’s a charity) asking for the boss. When I asked what it was regarding, they claimed to be from the "national energy board" haha. I told them to take our number off their list and the guy shouted NO at me through the phone, so I just ended the call. They rang again and he yelled WHY DID YOU HANG UP? down the line. I told them we’d report them for harassment and then they hung up.

Someone rang saying there was a problem with my meter and wanted details from my bill. I hung up, but the same person rang again straight away. Next, they started asking about how much I pay for gas and electricity. Then they put me through to my ‘manager’, who rudely told me to snap a pic of my bill and send it over. I told them it sounded like a scam and I wasn’t giving out any info, then they just ended the call.

Got a call where the guy complained that my hubby was being rude. I told him I'd take it up with Ofcom, but then he just called me a b***h and said there was no way I could report him. Since then, he’s phoned me nearly 10 times.

They kept calling me all morning, at least five times, and every time I asked for the actual date my energy contract ends, they gave me a different one. Also, they threw out some random numbers for the gas and electricity prices, but none matched what I’m currently paying. I ended up hanging up every single time, but then they rang back and said I was the one being rude! After a couple of those calls, I just stopped answering altogether.

Got two calls from someone claiming to be "National Grid" about an issue with my electric this morning. I told them straight up they were lying and to take my number off their list. The woman phoned back and was proper nasty and even threatened me.

Isn’t there any law or rule that could be used to block numbers like this as soon as it’s clear they’re being dodgy? The bloke called claiming to be from UK Energy and said I'd been charged too much... I just told him “stop the rubbish and find a proper job” before hanging up. I looked up the number here and saw loads of people had the same experience. Seriously, what’s the solution to this?

I got a call from this number on the 20th (check below) and then again just today. At first, the bloke said he was from the energy department, then changed it to UK Energy, and later mentioned Eon. He asked what firm I was with and how much my bill was. I actually am with Eon, but I kept that quiet. I told him I wasn’t sharing any details with someone I don’t know on the phone, and he just hung up on me. They’re really annoying and won’t leave you alone.

Got a call earlier pretending to be from the UK energy council, said the National Grid reported I’m paying too much. When they asked for my bill amounts, I just refused to give any info. Told them if there's an issue, they ought to have the details already. Then, they just ended the call on me!

I got a call at my work from someone claiming they had a complaint about us. When I told them we hadn’t actually filed any complaints, he insisted he had all the details and wanted to speak to the owner. Honestly, it felt like a total scam, and the guy was really pushy and quite rude!

The bloke kept saying he wasn’t trying to sell me anything, but I just ended the call. Moments later, he rang me again and claimed he was from some "government department." The number showed up as blocked.

Some bloke with an accent, sounded like he was from Asia, rang me claiming he was from some government department. I told him it was a cold call and to stop bothering me. Then he had the nerve to call me stupid. Ridiculous!

Today at about 4:25 pm on 16/3/19, I got a call from someone wanting to chat about electricity and energy. The woman sounded Indian, so I asked for her name, what company she was with, and told her I’m thinking of reporting her to the UK’s GDPR authorities. I also wanted to know how she got my number in the first place. She went quiet for a sec then snapped at me, telling me to "shut my damn mouth"... Well, guess what? I actually did!

I keep getting loads of calls from 0208 1330598 on my home phone, even though I blocked them. They just won’t stop ringing! It’s really annoying.

I got a call saying the electric meter was being shut off and the national grid was closing down. I hung up, but then the woman phoned me again and started saying we'd be without power. She actually called me a stupid woman lol.
