Just got a call for my mum from a bloke claiming to be John Irwin at Action Fraud. He told her to keep the call secret, which was fishy enough, but the really weird part was how he seemed to know exactly how much cash she’s got in her account. Definitely felt off to me.

I received a call from this number claiming to be Norton Security, stating that over £100 would be debited from my account. This is clearly a scam!

That said, since they appear to be a proper establishment, it’s quite plausible that fraudsters have compromised their number and are placing calls under false pretenses.
