No chance they're really ringing from London. It's one of those bogus numbers generated by a computer somewhere overseas. I saw an article this morning that explains how to handle these calls. That's pretty much the only way to deal with them.

On 16/07 at around 8:27, I noticed a missed call from a number starting with 0208. I didn't answer, but later received a voicemail from a woman named Lynda White who said she was with HMRC. She warned that my name had supposedly come up in some tax fraud and avoidance issues, and threatened arrest for unpaid taxes. The message urged me not to ignore it and to call back immediately before legal action is taken in court. After that, the call just disconnected. I'm still trying to verify this number, and that's how I ended up here. Cheers for the help.
