BEWARE! THIS IS DEFINITELY A FRAUD!! Got a call from a man who sounded Asian, named Raza, on extension 145. He said he was from Scottish Power, a company we’re dealing with over a few matters. He told me we’re due a refund of £296.74 and asked for our bank details to send the money. When I asked him what our Scottish Power account number was, he couldn’t answer and instead tried to get me to provide it. Absolutely no way I’m giving that info!

My work phone keeps getting bombarded with calls from them and whenever I ask for their full company name or address, they just refuse to tell me. They ended up blocking my business number. I’m pretty sure there’s some law that stops this kinda thing, right?

They keep phoning me non stop. One bloke claimed he was calling to make a complaint about my electric bill, so I just hung up on him straight away. Then he called again and accused me of being rude, saying I should listen to his complaint. He went on about how much I was supposedly overpaying, so I ended the call again. He kept ringing several times all through that day. Today a different guy called, said he was with National Grid and asked for a meter reading. I wouldn’t give it to him because I knew it wasn’t really National Grid.

Got a call from someone named Ibrahim who said he works for the National Grid. Turns out he isn’t actually an employee there. Got a load of really nasty calls, full of awful swearing, proper rude. Had to hang up loads of times. Luckily, I used 1471 to find the number and blocked it on my phone. This number kept ringing me 5 times in just a minute! The bloke on the other end was really rude, and when I ended the call, he went on to call me a f##king rude woman! I wasn’t having any of it and gave him a piece of my mind before hanging up. Then, he had the cheek to ring back again! Honestly, steer clear of this number!

Received a call from a man with a foreign accent claiming there was an issue with our electricity usage, saying we were using too much power. He said he was from the National Grid. I reckon it was a scam so I quickly ended the call to avoid tying up our line. A short while later, he called back and kept pushing, demanding to know how much we were actually spending on electricity. I received a rather peculiar call from this number, with a chap claiming to represent the National Grid, asserting they were keen to swap out our meter and process a refund for us.
