I received a call that purported to be from the National Insurance Bureau, claiming I had been involved in an accident and was due to receive between £3,000 and £4,000 in compensation. The person on the line had a foreign accent that made it quite challenging to comprehend, and they were rather pushy, almost to the point of being rude. Interestingly, I had just listed an ad on Gumtree yesterday, and after seeing various comments, it seems quite plausible that they obtained my number from there. It definitely appears to be a case of scammers, possibly of African or Asian descent.

Received a rather dodgy call today from someone claiming to be a chap named Michael. He was pushing a rather dubious scheme about getting me involved as a passenger in some so-called accident, all for the promise of a £5,000 payout. He certainly didn’t sound local, more like he hailed from somewhere in South Asia. Quite the cheeky con, if you ask me!
