Over the past fortnight, I’ve been getting around 5 calls from someone claiming to be from the complaints department. Once I tell them I haven’t made any complaints, they start pushing me to switch my energy provider to them. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

They've rung me four times already, inquiring after the registered owner, and immediately called back again. I've got a nagging feeling that this number is not on the level and could very well be linked to some dodgy scammers.

This one was about some gas and electric stuff, sounded like a foreign accent. The caller was really rude and said some awful things. Tried calling back twice but I just let it ring and didn’t pick up. Honestly, these idiots need to be stopped somehow.

Some proper nasty people calling me names and telling me to do awful things. They even pretended to be someone's dad who sadly passed away, just to mess with the staff. It’s about time this rubbish was put to an end.

I told them to find a real job instead of bothering me and then hung up. Annoying caller kept ringing me non stop even after I said I wasn’t interested. I had a feeling it was some sort of scam. So, I just blocked the number in the end. I was surprised since I thought these cold calls were supposed to be illegal now. My phone company didn’t really care though, they just told me to block it myself. So that’s what I did!

Called by someone saying they were from the Gas and Electricity Office. They didn’t mention which company they were actually with. They claimed they could help cut my energy bills but then asked for the current account number linked to my energy supplier. Felt like a total scam. Wouldn’t say who they really worked for or what exactly they were proposing. Very suspicious!

This guy kept calling me, saying he could knock 25% off my energy bill. Said he was from Opus but I’m already a customer with them. After I told him to buzz off and hung up, he just kept phoning again and again. Stay clear of this scammer!!!

I’m pretty sure this number is spoofed cos the person on the end had a really thick Asian accent and sounded like some dodgy call centre overseas where they don’t speak English well. When I told them I’m on the TPS list and they’re not allowed to call me, they just said they were ‘helping me save money’ and denied it. I mentioned I’d report them to the authorities and they just hung up. Tried calling the number back but got a BT fault message on the last digit - “sorry, there is a fault.” Definitely dodgy!

Got a call from some bloke who said he was from an energy company, called himself Mohammed Ali or something. He just wouldn't quit ringing me up, kept at it for a good half hour, even when I started getting a bit rude with him. Proper annoying!

I keep getting calls from the same person and it's really annoying. Someone told me about a place where you can report creepy or threatening numbers to the police so they can deal with them and stop the calls. Might be worth looking into!

I asked them to update my GDPR settings and take my info off their list, but they flat out wouldn’t. When I tried to find out who was actually ringing me, they wouldn’t say the company name either. Really frustrating!

Running a beauty salon here, got a call from a woman asking about prices and treatments. She was quite abrupt and insisted on talking to the owner right away. When I asked her why, she just said she wanted to make an appointment. Didn’t tell her I actually am the owner - told her she wasn’t free but I could sort the booking out. Then she just ended the call. Felt a bit strange, if I’m honest.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from National Grid, said my meter needed replacing. When I asked for the meter number that was faulty, he tried to get me to give him mine first so he could “confirm” it. I wasn’t falling for it and told him straight up it sounded like a scam. Don’t share your meter number with these callers - they can use it to switch your supplier over to them with crazy high rates and long contracts. Definitely a dodgy tactic to watch out for!

Had this bloke ring me up with a sort of Indian accent, said he was from the national grid or summat. I just kept saying "no way" over and over till he got proper annoyed and blurted out for me to shut up and hear him out! I couldn’t help myself and said, “right, caught ya, you cheeky scammer!” and slammed the phone down. Didn’t answer the phone when another dodgy call came through later, probably the same tosser trying again.

I got a call about changing my electric meter, but when I asked them to send me a letter instead and to stop calling, the bloke just told me to ‘go to hell’ and called me ‘stupid’. Honestly, I was fuming!
