2 monthsGot a call from some bloke named John Edward saying he was with O2. He was pretty pushy and told me he needed to take £1 from my bank for a SIM card. Thing is, what he actually sent me was some contract for an Apple Watch. Didn’t feel right, so I’ve told Action Fraud about it and also got in touch with my bank just to be safe.John EdwardApple WatchAction Fraud3 monthsHad a call supposedly from Tesco Mobile, but it was obviously just a spam scam.Tesco Mobile3 monthsThis spam caller kept switching it up, first claiming I was with Tesco, then Virgin, and then O2. They were just throwing out random phone company names.TescoVirginO23 monthsSomeone rang me claiming to be from O2, threatening to block my SIM. I just told them to do it and ended the call. They tried ringing again two more times, but I eventually blocked the number.4 monthsI just ignored it and flagged it as spam on my phone. Didn’t pick up at all.4 monthsI got three calls from this number, and on one of them, it left a voicemail full of nothing but about two minutes of random background noise - seemed like a mistake. My phone also flagged it as possible spam each time. Pretty sure it’s just some annoyance from a spam call centre.4 monthsI reckon it was a telemarketer, but could easily have been a scam or some spam. They kept ringing me up, about 4 times in a single day. Whenever I picked up, there was nobody there before they’d cut off. When I finally got someone on the line, the woman was EXTREMELY cheeky and just kicked off with “Why do you keep ending the call on me?” Didn’t want to hear my side at all. The connection sounded awful, almost like she wasn’t even calling from the UK. She claimed she was with 02, but I’m not with them at all. Then she went on saying 02 had merged with another company and I had to listen and give info. Since I have no dealings with 02, I wasn’t bothered. She pressed again, asking who I actually have my phone contract with. I told her and binned the call.UKSubmit Your Own Report (020 8106 7408)
