3 monthsGot a call from someone saying they were Tesco Mobile and that I had to switch my SIM card within two days. I wanted to check which contract I was on and how much my monthly fee was. Then they said they needed to send me a security code via text and that I’d have to tell them what it was. When I asked if they wanted my bank details now or after this obvious scam, they just hung up on me.Tesco Mobile3 monthsSo, this number I don’t know called me a couple of times and sent a text as well. The message said it was a free call alert from O2, and to stop it I should call 901 then press * and option 5 twice. Seemed a bit sus to me, so I didn’t bother following the instructions.3 monthsI didn't answer the first call but picked up the second, thinking it was just another spam call. They rang me straight back and I could hear a foreign accent saying they were from O2, telling me about some changes to my SIM card. Since I was at work, I asked to call back later. Just now, I spoke to them again, and they said they were sending new SIM cards for free to improve signal and wanted my email. I was suspicious, so they sent me a “verification” code, saying only they could send it and I shouldn’t share it, to prove they were legit. Even then, I refused to give my email. They started getting annoyed, and when I asked why I’d never heard about this before and said I wanted to wait till tomorrow, they threatened that my SIM would be blocked because they’d begun the process. I've blocked their number now.3 monthsLooks like a dodgy call, probably from India but pretending to be from London with that code. I ignored it, no way I'm falling for that. Honestly, those scammers should find something better to do or else karma's gonna catch up with them one day.IndiaLondon4 monthsGot a call from someone saying they were with Tesco Mobile.
