I've just had a rather tedious phone call from a lady spinning an elaborate tale about cutting off my internet this evening due to some 'issues', followed by the promise of a reconnection. She offered the option to engage with someone by pressing 1, or to speak to a manager by hitting 2. Honestly, I couldn't be bothered to entertain such drivel as it seemed extremely fishy - my gut is telling me it’s nothing but a con job. Do they really believe we’re that gullible?

I received a call today from a chap named George Reese Morgan, claiming to be from the London mint office. He had a bit of a Welsh accent, and I was instructed to press one to accept the call, which I did without hesitation as it all felt quite authentic. He did have a slight speech impediment, but aside from that, he seemed rather pleasant. This marked the second time I’ve been contacted by the office.
