Some bloke with an Indian accent rang up saying he was calling from BT and that my internet might get hacked, with all my private stuff at risk. When I asked him to prove he was really from British Telecom, he didn't even seem to know what BT stood for. Then he told me his name was Alex Murphy, which sounded dodgy to me. Pretty sure that was a scam!
