Absolutely, I've received two calls within the past couple of days, with this rather demanding chap insisting I power up my computer and perform specific keyboard actions. He was incredibly forceful, even offering to put me through to his supervisor. Honestly, if these folks are up to no good, they really ought to be reported to the authorities!

Beware, it’s a con! I strongly urge you to check out http://www.ammyy.com/en/admin_mu.html. They’ll try to convince you that your system is infected or experiencing technical difficulties, claiming to be from Microsoft’s global support. They’ll pressure you into granting them access to your computer by downloading software from AMMYY.com, though they conveniently omit any clarification on this. My own Windows system flagged the AMMYY software as potentially harmful, but they insisted I disregard the warning! Whatever you do, don’t brush it off!
