This morning, a client got in touch asking if I really work at xxx and whether I'm FCA registered. Afterwards, he wanted to speak to me directly. Apparently, someone pretended to be me earlier today, saying they could help recover some money lost in online trading on UFX a couple of years ago. This imposter told the client they were “my name” and FCA certified. They even sent a WhatsApp message with my FCA registration number ‘xxxxxxxx’ and a link to the official register to convince him. Plus, they gave a different phone number, ‘02080979948’, to call them back on.

Got a call from someone claiming my identity was being used. They tried to convince me to install some app on my phone. Definitely felt like a scam.
