02080904982 Summary (Read all comments)
Phone number ☎️ 02080904982 👆 is reported as a scam associated with fake Canon printer support. Callers, often with Indian accents, claim to assist with printer setup by remotely accessing PCs, then pressure users to disable antivirus software and offer costly, unnecessary security packages. Many users noticed invasive behaviour, including browsing personal files and aggressive conduct when challenged. Those who declined to buy services were often met with hostility or ended calls abruptly. The number is linked to nuisance and fraudulent calls targeting vulnerable individuals, sometimes extracting significant sums under false pretences. Genuine Canon support does not solicit unsolicited calls or sales of expensive antivirus cover. Users are strongly advised to avoid engaging and to verify support directly through official Canon channels.

6 monthsTried setting up my new Canon printer but it just wouldn’t install. I got in touch with Canon support, and they took over my laptop remotely. Turns out they said the installation couldn’t go ahead because my drivers were out of date. Bit frustrating!Canon7 monthsI was having some issues with my HP printer and ended up speaking to two guys who sounded Asian. They claimed they could sort it out. After about 30 minutes, one guy passed me on to his mate, who said he’d help sort the problem. He asked me to disable my Norton security so he could “fix” the printer. Then I noticed he was snooping through my emails and other personal stuff. I quickly turned my PC off and unplugged the printer. Definitely a scam, watch out!HPNorton7 monthsI was trying to get my HP printer sorted out when the person on the phone told me to turn off my Norton security!! Then they sent a link to download some file, but Norton flagged it as a serious scam!! The caller insisted it was safe. They were poking around my computer, looking at my stuff, and kept yelling down the line “stop pointing your mouse, you’re stopping me from fixing it.” I told them I didn’t want them opening or downloading anything but felt proper scared. Total scammers, no doubt. I’m glad I just unplugged everything and switched off my computer and printer to be safe.HPNorton11 monthsI wouldn't trust those so-called Canon printer support callers, sounds like a scam and a bunch of dodgy folks from India trying to trick you.CanonIndia11 monthsI wouldn’t trust this at all, it’s definitely a scam. When I realised what was going on, the person on the other end started swearing and using really rude language. The voice sounded Indian and they were talking in Hindi. Be careful if you get a call from this number, it’s not someone to trust. Honestly, this kind of thing should be reported to cyber crime authorities and those responsible should be punished properly.1 yearSomebody said they were from Canon, sounded like they had an Indian accent and were really pushy. Even after I told them to f**k off, they kept refusing to hang up. Honestly, best to steer well clear of these lot.Canon1 yearNo message - avoid like the plague.1 yearGot a missed call but they didn’t leave any message.2 yearsHad an issue with my key and they said on live chat that someone would ring me up. I went and let them get into my PC, bit daft I guess. They didn’t charge me the £349 fee for antivirus or anything, which was a relief. But ever since then, I’ve been struggling to log into any accounts. Not sure if they sneaked something into my laptop or what.2 yearsSo, I got the McAfee total protection for 3 devices for a year, bought it online and even got the 20 digit code in the mail. When I tried setting it up, the code kept showing some error and wouldn’t let me install. It told me to ring a number for help. When I called and let them access my PC, instead of fixing it, they started pushing me to buy an expensive virus protection package. Bit cheeky if you ask me.McAfee Total Protection2 yearsThis number rang me three times back to back. I got suspicious and decided to check it out, and sure enough, it was some kind of annoying spam.
