When I asked if she meant the telephone preference service, she immediately dropped the call. Definitely sounded like it was from a call centre.

I got a call from 01514560679 trying to sell me some sort of Call Blocking service to help stop scam calls - quite funny really! When I asked for their credit card info, I just blocked the number. Almost instantly, the same person rang me again but from 02080904280, telling me the call got dropped and asked me once more to provide my card details. It's dodgy, and I can easily see how older or less tech-savvy people might get caught out by this trick.

He mentioned they were about to block all international calls and said he'd send me some paperwork. When I told him I reckoned he might be a scammer, he just disconnected straight away.

First off, I got a call from a woman who sounded like she was from India, saying she was with some “TPS call blocking thing,” or something like that. I just flat out told her I don’t deal with liars like that. After that, this guy with a similar accent kept ringing me, also saying he was from the TPS. I had a bit of fun shouting a few colourful words at him, then I just left the phone in another room while he carried on with his nonsense until he finally gave up.
