Yet another dodgy scam pretending to be from O2. I’ve reported earlier numbers to their fraud team and the calls stopped for a bit. Seems like they shifted to a new number now. Been getting these nuisance calls loads every day for nearly a month. There’s about 15 different numbers they ring from, or at least seem to, cos even when you block one, they ring back from another!

The caller said they were from Domestic Assist. I spotted a payment to that name on my bank statement and stopped it. Tried to get in touch with whoever made the payment, but the number my bank gave me was useless. Pretty sure my husband arranged it without realising it could be some scam. When I told the bloke on the phone I'd cancelled the direct debit, he just hung up on me! Before that, he sounded alright. Honestly, I can do without insurance for my washing machine or Sky dish.

Some bloke claimed to be from Secure My Home sayin' they'd swap out my drainage cover with a cheaper plan. He was actin' like it was already sorted! I don't have any of that sort of cover at all. Pretty clear it was a dodgy pitch! Told him to jog on and blocked the number. What a nuisance.

Some bloke named Dan rang me from this number, saying he had a cheaper deal for our drainage and sewer insurance. I kept asking him how he even knew we had that cover (we don’t!) but he just kept interrupting me. I told him twice to take me off their list and on the second time, he just cut the call. Proper annoying.

Got a call today from someone claiming to be Secure Homes, last time they called from another number. They said they could save me money on renewing my plumbing & drains cover. I kept it vague until they transferred me to their Admin team. When they asked me to verify my details, I told them "if I had a policy with you, you’d probably have that info already", and they just hung up. There is an actual company called Secure Homes, but they specialise in alarms, not plumbing.

Got a call at 2.50pm on 10/01/20. The person said my plumbing and wiring cover was being lowered since I’d made no claims. Tried asking the name of their firm but the answer was hard to make out. Told them I wasn’t even insured with them, so that was why no claims. The call then just cut off. The caller sounded polite and spoke English. Strange they didn’t hide their number.

Someone rang me saying it was about my drainage and sewerage cover - i asked them twice who they thought they were ringing. Then they said they’d put me through to their admin dept. After about 15 seconds of silence the call just ended. Ive got no separate drainage or sewage insurance and my number is unlisted anyway.

Seriously, if there’s a way to scam, they’ll find it. It’s 2020 for goodness sake, there should be tech out there to protect honest folks in the UK from all these dodgy phone calls! BT, why not spend some of your massive earnings on sorting this out? Almost everyone I know is sick to death of getting these annoying calls.

Got a call but no voicemail left. Looked up the number on this site - lucky I did. I'm registered with TPS too, but I think some fraudsters abroad manage to fake UK numbers to show up on your phone.

Just like everyone else, some bloke called Tom was rattling on with a script about government-backed loft insulation inspections. I asked him more about who he actually was and where he was ringing from, and told him my loft was fine. Then I wanted to know how he got my number. Next thing I know, he just ended the call.

Had loads of fun messing with them! I love seeing just how long I can keep them chatting away. Who do they think they are, barging into my day like that? Still, I do feel sorry for older folks getting these calls - the guy’s voice could easily fool someone on their own. They usually ask if you’re over 60, so please be careful and warn the elderly, particularly those living on their own. Honestly, I wonder how the people behind these calls manage to sleep at night?

Got a call that sounded like one of those recorded ones with preset replies based on what you say. They claimed my loft insulation, supposedly put in under some government scheme in the last decade, was making my place damp (which is rubbish). I told them all my home’s up to current building standards, and then they just cut me off. I reckon this kind of call could really scare older or more vulnerable folks.

Honestly, it seems pretty clear this number is up to no good, scamming folks left right and centre. So why is the phone company still letting it run and why aren't the police taking action against whoever’s behind it? I’m registered with the telephone preference service, so these calls are definitely against the rules and should be illegal. It’s frustrating they’re just allowed to carry on like this!
