They’re probably just using outdated lists or maybe they’re dodgy scammers. You’ve got up to 6 years to make a claim from the accident, plus another 3 years starting from when you realise the injury has had an impact (some problems like nerve damage or spine issues might not show up for 12 years!). It’s called latent damage time limits.
