Yeah, this is indeed a London number, more like from the outskirts of London to be accurate. They called me again, just now, like a few minutes ago at 10:45 am on 20 June 2018. When I picked up, they just ended the call straight away. Looks like they’re not fans of male voices because the same thing happened around 4 times over the last six months.

Turns out, it’s a firm promoting Education Courses for different fields, and they wanted to invite me to a free open day induction close to London. I told the guy unless he’s sorting me a 5-star hotel and covering my travel costs, there’s no way I’m trekking all the way from Newcastle to check it out for a fresh start.

Today someone ringed me, said hello and called me by my name, which was really strange how they knew it. Then they asked if I live in the UK. I think they mentioned something about restoration, but I wasn’t sure. I told them I don’t speak English well, then they asked how come I was born in the UK. They said they were calling from Phoenix, I was like what’s that about? They mentioned something about registration, but it was all confusing. When they asked if I needed a translator, I said yes, then they just hung up. There’s too many dodgy calls nowadays, be careful, just a warning!

Got a call from this number and as soon as I picked up, the person just hung up. I rang back and it sounded like it was coming from overseas. A guy with an Asian accent answered, saying his company helps organise further studies. I kindly said I wasn’t interested and he didn’t make a fuss about it.

I got two calls from them. The first was a woman saying I’d signed up for some study course, which I definitely didn’t, so I told her she had the wrong person. Then today a bloke ringed me about the exact same thing, so I lost my temper and told him off for pestering me before he just dropped the call. I reckon these con artists must have nicked my name and number when I entered my details online somewhere. If you don’t see that little padlock symbol in your browser, don’t share any of your personal info, seriously.

This number has been ringing me non-stop for the past three weeks, and almost every time I pick up, it’s just silence on the other end. One time, someone started saying I’d been in a car crash, but the call dropped before they could carry on with whatever trick they had planned. Better to just ignore it.

I keep receiving calls from this number, but the moment I pick up, I’m met with utter silence. I tried saying "hello" a few times and even requested someone to speak, but all I got was dead air while they listened to me ramble on. Eventually, I hung up and dialled 1471 to return the call, but it just rang endlessly without a soul on the other end. Oddly enough, there was some strange background noise mixed in with the ringing-could it possibly be bugged? I let it ring for more than nine minutes, yet not a single response. Quite frankly, I'm fed up with these pointless silent calls. It’s so frustrating not knowing whether it’s a person or an automated system messing with random numbers.
