Just got another call from some bloke called Alan Jumar, trying to convince us to switch our electric meter. We’re a church, by the way. They gave me an email, which looked a bit dodgy: [email protected]. This was the second time they called. Just to be on the safe side, I rang up both National Grid and UK Power Networks and they confirmed it’s a scam, so watch out!

I got a call from someone named Rehan who said he was with National Grid and wanted to visit our house on Friday at 3pm to swap out the meter. It sounded fishy so I told him I’d double check with National Grid myself. He then gave us a number to ring - 0207004300 - claiming it was theirs. My husband phoned the real National Grid using their official contact and they confirmed the call was a scam. Don’t trust anyone ringing about this, just hang up!
