While on the line, they wanted to send me a couple of texts and kept asking me to confirm my phone number - which was strange since they just rang me on it! They said the messages were for security reasons and told me not to end the call. It felt dodgy, so I ended the call and blocked the number right away.

Watch out! This number called me pretending to be from O2 and tried to get me to say the verification code they sent me. I nearly fell for it, but it’s a scam. They use that code to buy stuff on your account and then change the delivery address to get the goods sent to them. Definitely report this number if you get a call from them!
