I received an incessant barrage of calls from these individuals, ringing me a total of seven times yesterday. They were persistent in their request for my postcode, to which I responded with a simple, "May I ask who’s inquiring?" He then parroted his original question, and I repeated my response, asking again who he was. To my astonishment, he retorted rather rudely, telling me to "sod off" before hanging up. Honestly, what gall!

Lately I've been getting a heap of calls from strange numbers again, even tho it was quiet for a bit. Loads of them start with 0208, so maybe it's just one caller. I don't pick up calls from numbers I don't recognise anyway and none of these have left a voicemail. After seeing what others have said here, I've gone ahead and blocked this number. I just had a look at my call logs today and noticed that the number 02080785629 has attempted to ring me a whopping 13 times! Got a call on my home phone earlier from a bloke with a foreign accent saying he was from the TPS. He asked if we’re still getting loads of spam calls. When I said yes, he wanted me to confirm my address and name. Then, out of the blue, he asked for my credit card expiry date! I asked why TPS would need that info and he quickly said they were from the "TPS Management team". I told him he was trying to scam me and told him to jog on, then I hung up.

Every now and then some of these dodgy calls break through, mostly people with Asian accents, and I just call them out on their nonsense. Got a bit bored and figured I’d play along with what was clearly a scam call. I acted like a daft old bloke, throwing them made-up bank names and random sort codes just to keep them going. The caller kept pestering me for my bank info over and over, probably close to half an hour, while I stayed all confused. Eventually, when I told him I knew he was nothing but a scammer and that I was just messing about, he finally gave up and hung up.

I've been inundated with calls from these blokes lately, all coming from a dodgy proxy number. When I attempt to return the call, it turns out to be as recognisable as a ghost! I've even had conversations with Asian-sounding voices, one of which had the audacity to claim her name was Paul. It's astonishing how little they care about the personal situations of those they harass. Clearly, they’re just after bank details. Today, of all days, my husband has just been hospitalised in London for heart issues and tests. The last thing I need is a barrage of calls from a phoney London number! Enough is enough! Why on earth can't these scoundrels be put in check? With all the technology available nowadays, surely we can find a way to filter out and block these fraudulent callers?

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Telephone Preference Management, which isn’t the same as the Telephone Preference Service. Like others have mentioned, they already had all my info but wanted me to give them my pin numbers. Definitely a scam. The guy sounded like he was from Pakistan. Even after I told him off and told him to buzz off, he just kept going, so I had to be pretty rude before he finally stopped.
