Got a call on my work line from someone saying they were with British Gas. I told them they didn’t really sound like a rep from British Gas and he just said “Customer services, extension 4023”. Definitely not from British Gas. No clue what their real intention was, but it didn't seem above board.

Got calls from these accident claim scammers, sounding heavily Indian and struggling with English. They start off by ringing from fake numbers but then move on to proper lines like this one, which you can actually call back. It happens if you pretend to want to file a claim and give them made-up details about a supposed accident and yourself.

Best steer well clear of them… unless you wanna mess about and waste their time by feeding them total rubbish about a pretend accident. Just don’t ever hand over any genuine personal info.

Got a call yesterday with a voicemail about some accident I supposedly had. The guy’s voice was really hard to catch, soundin muffled and with some kind of accent. You could hear loads of noise like he was on a busy street or summat. Didn’t mention what company he was from at all. Definitely felt like a con!! Also, I’ve not been in any crashes lately.

Got a voicemail from a guy with a really thick accent, said something about an accident and wanted me to ring him back. Seems like it was probably a scam or he just dialled the wrong number.
