Got a really nasty call today from someone who sounded foreign, but the connection was so poor I couldn’t catch much of what he was saying. Then out of the blue, he called me stupid! I still couldn’t hear properly, but I really wanted to tell him off and say something like he must have had awful parents. These calls are so rude, and even when you block one number, they just ring back from somewhere else. Honestly, I think BT should be doing more - they control the phone networks here in the UK and should stop these scammers from bothering people.

I've gotten calls like this a couple of times now. Sometimes no one picks up, other times there's this recorded message saying we supposedly requested a callback, but the number they mention definitely isn't ours.

Got a call from a woman trying to sell me some discounts. When I mentioned that calling someone on the Telephone Preference Service list is illegal, she seemed confused and said she didn’t know if my number was actually on it!
