I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming I'd participated in a survey and had been selected for a chance to win an iPhone 8 in the final stages of a contest. She was also going on about some complimentary lottery tickets and wanted to verify that I was over the age of 18. Then, she proceeded to confirm some details she supposedly had on file, starting with my name, which was spot on. However, when she then recited my previous address and postcode, it raised a red flag for me. Intrigued, I inquired about when I'd supposedly entered this survey, to which she replied it must have been within the last three to six months. That was enough to solidify my doubts - I had not lived at that address for several years! I politely informed her that I wasn't interested and ended the call. Quite the con, if you ask me!
