I picked up the phone by mistake and it was some caller from Equafest or maybe Equafester, not too sure. They just hung up straight away after I said hello.

I keep gettin calls day and night from various mobile numbers and it’s always the same thing - they want my passport, driving licence, and a bill as proof. Turns out it’s some Bitcoin scam out of Indian Ocean Territory trying to drain your bank account. Seriously, watch out and don’t fall for it!

Honestly, if you get a call from an 020 number, just hang up. Most of them are dodgy scammers with really bad accents trying hard to seem local. Don't waste your time talking to anyone like that, they're just out to scam you. Total waste of time and so annoying!

Got a random phone call from a guy speaking English with a thick accent. Said his name was ‘Edward’ and he was ringing from something called ‘Today's Habit’. He claimed he’d only ask me three simple questions that’d barely take a minute, and promised I wouldn’t get any more calls from them after that. Sure, mate. Classic rubbish from some dodgy offshore call centre, probably using fake UK landline numbers and fake names. Best to just block them straight away.

Got a call from some guy calling himself Neil, sounded Asian, started asking for a minute of my “precious time” to do some dodgy survey. The number said it was London but it was definitely a VoIP trick. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from some bloke with a cockney-sounding name but sounded Asian, said he had some questions. Pressed the red button on my CallBlocker straight away to stop him ever calling again. I’m really fed up with these annoying calls, honestly. Sometimes I wish something bad would happen to them on their way back, like getting hit by a car and ending up in a coma. Got a ring from this number again, first it was dead silent, then someone was asking for my mum, said it was about something to do with living. I received a phone call on the 16th of April, 2018, from a chap who specifically requested to speak to my husband. He mentioned he had a few inquiries he wished to discuss. I promptly informed him that he shouldn’t be calling this number due to our registration with the telephone preference service. I made it clear we weren’t interested in any sales pitches, yet he persisted with the conversation. The caller appeared to be of Asian descent.

Spoke with a person with a South Asian accent who talked really quickly. Said it was some kind of market research and didn’t seem too dodgy. I dodged the more private questions, which they just skipped over. Creepy bit was they already had loads of my info. Where on earth do they find all that? Some of it was obviously outdated, so I fed them a bunch of nonsense and old info just to throw them off. Mostly just a pain in the neck. I don’t get the point of the "Information Commissioner" here, and when will this country ever sort out proper Privacy Laws that actually protect us?
