Got a call on my phone from this number. A woman claimed I’d been in some sort of accident and wanted my info. I asked her to explain when it supposedly happened. Then she put me through to a supervisor who also wanted the details. When I requested the supervisor give me more info instead, he just ended the call.

Really frustrating phone call from Calamity Advice! I’ve had two calls from them today. The first was a recorded message, and I guess because I picked up, I got a follow-up call from a real person. When I asked where they got my number from, the woman said she'd connect me to her supervisor for help. Normally I wouldn’t even bother answering, but my mum is quite frail, so I have to be cautious and pick up in case it’s something about her. I’m sure many others are in the same boat. What annoyed me was that the number only showed up after I’d answered, so I didn’t realise it was spam until it was too late. I thought these sorts of nuisance calls had been cracked down on by now!
