3 yearsI received a call from a dubious accident management centre, and it was quite clear they were operating from an Indian call centre, given the thick accent and the Hindi chatter in the background. Now, I hold no ill will towards Indian people - it’s just that a significant number of these fraudulent centres seem to be based there, even if it’s just a handful causing trouble. They use all the typical phrases that give them away. Despite my firm refusals, they bombarded me with calls - I lost count as they rang through three different numbers, a staggering 11 times within just five minutes! I had already made it abundantly clear that I recognised it as a scam and demanded they remove my number from their list. They had some personal details since they addressed me by my first name, yet when I pressed them for information about this so-called accident they claimed I’d been in, they couldn’t provide any; it’s obvious they were just reciting from a script. Thankfully, the calls seem to have dwindled now that I’ve activated a spam block.3 yearsI received a peculiar phone call from a chap named Jason who claimed I was involved in a car accident. Well, I assured him that wasn’t the case. He then responded with, “What are you after then, love?” I was taken aback and replied, “Pardon? You’re the one calling me!” He then proceeded to make some rather unsettling comments, telling me he desired me intensely while making strange noises. He even mentioned reaching out to me via WhatsApp. It was all rather unsettling, to say the least!JasonWhatsApp3 yearsReceived a dodgy call from an individual claiming to be interested in purchasing a vehicle. Suspicions arose as he sounded like an Indian scam artist.3 yearsHe mentioned an interest in purchasing my vehicle.3 yearsCourteous yet dubious: they assert that I was previously engaged in a road traffic incident, purporting to source my information from the fictitious 'UK National Survey Department.' They also mention their connections with 'RTA Assistance' and the so-called 'Motor Insurance Bureau,' which, quite frankly, appear to be rather unprofessional websites.UK National Survey DepartmentRTA AssistanceMotor Insurance Bureau3 yearsWhen I picked up the call, there was absolutely no one on the other side of the line.3 yearsCharming yet fraudulent: they assert that I was previously involved in a car accident, boasting that they acquired my information from the fictitious ‘UK National Survey Department’. They also mention affiliations with ‘RTA Assistance’ and the ‘Motor Insurance Bureau’, which are both rather dubious web platforms.UK National Survey DepartmentRTA AssistanceMotor Insurance Bureau3 yearsI received a call from a bloke who asked if I was (my name). When I inquired who he was, he brought up something about traffic monitoring and an accident that had happened in the last couple of years. I told him I wasn't keen and hung up. To my surprise, he rang me back three times in quick succession right after I cut him off. I've ended up blocking the number.3 yearsI've been dealing with a dodgy car accident scam lately. Ignoring their calls isn’t doing the trick; they keep ringing me from a host of different numbers. They’re incredibly tenacious!3 yearsHow on earth did they manage to acquire my number? They claim to have details about an alleged traffic accident. I can assure you, that's not the case! Apparently, someone residing in my home has been involved in a claim regarding vehicle insurance. Is that what they mean? Oh, you must be referring to the unfortunate incident my husband faced. He had a serious accident on his motorbike and tragically passed away. I hung up immediately! It’s absolutely appalling and utterly callous of whoever peddled that information, not to mention those making the call!3 yearsI got caught up in a car accident fraud; they were incredibly impolite, so I decided to block them.3 yearsI received a call from a bloke who asked if I was indeed (my name) before going on to introduce himself and ramble on about some traffic or motor business. It didn't take long for me to figure out it was a dodgy setup, so I ended the call. He then attempted to ring me twice in quick succession afterwards, but I decided to ignore both attempts.Submit Your Own Report (020 8059 9743)
