I recently received a rather curious phone call from 020 8058 2779. There was a bit of a pause and then the chap on the other end inquired about my well-being! I chose not to respond but instead pressed him for his identity and the company he represented. His English was quite poor, and if memory serves, he mentioned something about Curry’s. Frankly, I find it hard to believe that such a reputable company would permit someone with such limited proficiency in English to handle customer calls. I decided it was best to terminate the call and swiftly blocked the number.

I received a call purporting to be from a credit investigation agency. Considering I haven’t got any credit dealings, it’s fairly obvious this must be a scam, right? The bloke on the other end suddenly switched to this absurd voice, exclaiming, "Blimey, you’re a genius! How did you figure it out?" before abruptly hanging up. Honestly, what a bunch of absolute charlatans!

Claimed to be representing the Citizens Advice Bureau, then proceeded to inquire if I was interested in a loan. When I pressed for more details, they promptly hung up on me.
