Absolute con artists, these lot. Honestly, they deserve to be dealt with harshly. If you can’t do that, at least make sure to report the number and what they’re doing to the police. Just look up ‘Action Fraud’ and head over to the UK police website. From there, find the phishing report section, scroll to the bottom and fill out the quick form. It’s crucial the cops get all these scam attempts logged so they know what kinds of scams are going around and how often. This data really helps them tackle the problem.

Managed to dodge it by saying I was isolating with covid, but he insisted on sending someone over to poke about in my attic. One up for me!

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent about loft insulation. I hung up straight away, then she rang back less than a minute later saying she wasn’t trying to sell anything. Didn’t bother with it and just blocked the number.

Somebody rang me up claiming to be from an energy saving business. They kept asking for my name but I wouldn't give it out. Oddly, they addressed me using the name of the last person who lived here. Seemed very dodgy to me, probably a scam.
