Got a call about helping with loft insulation, which is odd since my loft is already insulated. When I asked how they got my details, they couldn’t really explain it properly. Not sure why they rang me up at all.

I picked up but no one was on the other end. Just a pointless call, really.

Got a call from a woman called Lisa, sounded Asian, said she was from National Energy about inspecting my loft insulation. She was pretty pushy, kept insisting that an engineer come round to check it out. Even after I told her I’m on the TPS, my number’s ex-directory and not on any council list, she didn’t back off. Ended up blocking the number and reporting it.

Clearly a call centre phoning as soon as a man with an Asian accent asked if he could speak to me I just ended the call then reported it to Ofcom and blocked the number. Total scam!

Got a rather persistent call from some outfit called National Energy, though I've no idea who they actually are. This time it was a woman named Lisa, who sounded Asian and was quite pushy about checking my loft insulation. I've had enough, so I've blocked the number and reported them.

If I don't know the number, I just don't pick up. They can leave a message if it's important. I declined the call and, guess what, no voicemail at all. So, they’re getting blocked!

I found myself in a rather puzzling situation; the call seemed to go through, yet the line was utterly silent. In the end, I decided it was best to end the call.

They rang asking for a Mr S, but I told them it wasn’t me. Then they started insisting on my name, which I wasn’t comfortable giving, so I just ended the call. No clue who they were, but definitely blocking the number now.

I just hung up straight away and blocked the number - these random calls from numbers not in my contacts are nearly always annoying rubbish nowadays. At this point, I reckon most of us have dealt with enough of these unknown calls to know they’re probably pointless. Blocking and ignoring is the smartest move to stop getting bothered by these spam and scam callers every day, no point giving them a chance at all.
