A woman called claiming she was from an energy company, but as soon as I said “Scam, scam” I just put the phone down. She sounded a bit miffed about it.

Got a call from a company claiming they needed to check the loft's electricity. They asked me to verify my postcode but then told me a totally wrong one. I decided not to go any further with the call after that.

Got a really annoying call from some bloke called 'Alex' from an Indian call centre, trying to check my loft for damp or condensation. He kept asking loads of personal stuff like if I was married and how old I was - felt like the next thing he’d want would be my bank details! Even after I said no and wouldn’t share anything, he just kept going on. Proper persistent and irritating.

He completely brushed off my suggestion to not provide him with any information at all.

Really weird call, and it was super early in the morning. The bloke had a really bad grasp of English, like he was struggling to get words out. He asked if I owned a telly. I told him I was working night shifts and hoped his call was worth the trouble. He said it was “very important” and then just ended the call abruptly. Proper rude, if you ask me.

Got a call earlier today from someone claiming they could assist with property damage. Thing is, I don’t have any. When I asked how they found my number, they just ended the call. From what I’ve read in other reviews, it seems like these lot are involved in quite a few dodgy schemes lately.

I received a rather dubious call where the individual on the other end insisted I verify my involvement in a car crash from half a year back, which, mind you, had nothing to do with me. They claimed I could be entitled to compensation from my insurance due to the distress caused by this so-called incident. Then, out of the blue, they requested that I fill out a survey about the event. It was clear as day - a classic case of phishing!

Got a call from some bloke asking which company I use for my phone, internet and TV. I asked him how he got my contact and he claimed I’d shared it with them. Total rubbish. I made it clear I never share that kind of info and then blocked his number. No more calls after that one.

I think you mentioned something about a car accident, didn’t you? I got a call on my phone and they said a company name, but it all happened so fast I couldn’t really catch it. I made it very clear they weren’t to ring me back again. Hopefully that’s the last I hear from them!

I got a call from some ambulance chasers. When I asked them to give me their company name and a contact number so I could report them for pestering me, she just hung up. I tried ringing them back afterwards but no one picked up.
