I keep getting calls from 02080 560 494 on my mobile, and it happens nearly every day. It’s a number I don’t know, so I just let it ring without picking up. The latest call was on 30th December 2022 at 18:02. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to block these calls? Any tips would be appreciated!

I rang the free British Gas line at 03332029804, but in my call log, it showed up as a 0208 number. Seems like the 0333 number forwards to the 0208 one? Anyway, I got through to British Gas, so I guess it's all legit.

I got a call from some bloke claiming I’d ordered a couple of fruit trees back in July - which is true - but he also knew my name and where I live. He started telling me about a £50 voucher I’d supposedly receive in a few days and a membership with a firm called Premier. He said if I completed and sent the form, I’d be signed up and charged £79 a year. Wasn’t sure if it was a scam or legit, but my phone flagged it as possibly fraudulent, so I just hung up.

I received a call from a woman with an American accent claiming I was due to receive some vouchers to spend. I told her to donate mine to a charity or a more deserving cause, and then they abruptly hung up. It felt like quite the nuisance call!
