Got a call from a woman who had my full name, address and even knew when I last bought something from Easy Life. She offered vouchers but said I had to cancel within 28 days or else my subscription would be charged using my Easy Life account info. Bit worrying, not sure if they have access to my bank details or not. I guess I need to ring my bank. Tried calling the number back but it was closed! Pretty strange they rang me out of the blue like that.

I didn’t pick up and it went straight to voicemail. When I listened to it, some bloke from the States was chatting about how to say the word ‘ask’. If whoever this is ever sees these messages... maybe find a proper job! Blocked.

Spoke to some American bloke who somehow knew my name, address, and even something I'd just bought - which was spot on. I’ve just had a rather dodgy call claiming that my husband supposedly bought a security light back in 2020 from the Easy Life catalogue, and he was entitled to some sort of cash back. The caller had this noticeable American-Canadian twang. I told him to send the voucher via post. What a ruse! I've promptly blocked the number on my phone. He sounded American. Oddly, he didnt ask for any payment info but kept asking if I understood everything properly, asked me that like twice during the 6 minutes we talked. Bit strange if you ask me.

I found it quite hard to follow the conversation, as the woman's accent was distinctly North American, which threw me a bit. She mentioned something regarding a catalogue order, but I honestly can't remember making any such purchase. She was on about sending out a card with a £3500 limit, which is expected to land on my doorstep in the next few days. There were plenty of other bits and bobs she rambled on about, but being an octogenarian and a bit hard of hearing, it was all a bit muddled for me.
