Total rip off!

I reckon this was one of those dodgy calls, probably a scammer trying their luck.

Got a call from a woman who had my full name, address and even knew when I last bought something from Easy Life. She offered vouchers but said I had to cancel within 28 days or else my subscription would be charged using my Easy Life account info. Bit worrying, not sure if they have access to my bank details or not. I guess I need to ring my bank. Tried calling the number back but it was closed! Pretty strange they rang me out of the blue like that.

+44 20 8056 0512 They had my address, phone number and even my name! Pretended to be calling from some ‘reward club’. I think it’s tied to when I bought stuff from easylife. Definitely feels like a scam and maybe a leak of info somewhere.

I didn’t pick up and it went straight to voicemail. When I listened to it, some bloke from the States was chatting about how to say the word ‘ask’. If whoever this is ever sees these messages... maybe find a proper job! Blocked.

Spoke to some American bloke who somehow knew my name, address, and even something I'd just bought - which was spot on. He was offering to send me three vouchers (haven't received any yet!) and tried to push a discount card scheme that I had no interest in. After the chat, I decided to cancel my credit card and order a replacement as I was worried he might have gotten hold of those details from my recent purchase.

Looks like this might be a scam, judging by what others are saying here. I got calls from this number twice yesterday and again just now today. Quite suspicious if you ask me.

I chose not to pick up, but later looked it up and turns out it was a total scam.

An individual with an American twang was babbling on about some cash back voucher and a costly membership plan connected to a rather nebulous purchase from ages ago. It definitely has the classic signs of a scam written all over it!

This bloke keeps ringing even tho I've told him not to since I've got a really sick family member here. I've blocked the number but my phone still goes off when he rings. Some American guy wanting to chat about something we supposedly bought from Easy Life, but that was ages back!

Just got a call from someone with an Indian accent talking about Easylife catalogue. They said because I bought something from them before, I could get a £15 voucher to use. They mentioned if you go along with it, they’ll send a booklet with vouchers to use in shops and places. It’s free for 28 days but after that, they charge £79 a year if you don’t cancel. Definitely dodgy, best to stay clear!

+44 20 8056 0440 Got a call from someone with an American accent, they asked for me by my first name which was right but got my last name wrong and gave an address I haven't lived at in ages. Told them I had no idea what they meant and hung up. Looks like a scam to me. This was the first time I actually picked up and I’ve flagged it as DANGEROUS so others don’t fall for it thinking they know stuff about you.

The caller asked if I’d bought something from a catalogue, wanted to know what it was. I told them it was a recliner chair with side pockets - which I never ordered! Had a good laugh, told them to take a hike, then blocked the number straight away.

Just like others have said, it was an American guy sounding bloke offering £50 gift cards, saying I could cancel whenever for £79 if I agreed. As soon as I told him no, he just dropped the call. Totally feels like a scam, even though they had my name, address, and info on what I bought.

I’ve just had a rather dodgy call claiming that my husband supposedly bought a security light back in 2020 from the Easy Life catalogue, and he was entitled to some sort of cash back. The caller had this noticeable American-Canadian twang. I told him to send the voucher via post. What a ruse! I've promptly blocked the number on my phone. I sincerely doubt we’ll be seeing any voucher popping through the letterbox anytime soon!

I received a call from an Asian woman who insisted that I had some cashback waiting for a purchase I’d made ages ago. When I inquired about what the item was, she just started laughing and then hung up on me. It’s obvious this is a scam. The audacity of these people is unreal!

This number keeps calling me mostly in the afternoons but I never pick up. I’ve marked it as a SCAM so I’d say don’t bother answering and just block it. A few people reckon it’s Easylife, but I was getting calls from this number well before I even signed up with Easylife. So I’m really puzzled how they ended up with my fairly new phone number?

Got a call from 02080560440, sounded like an American or Canadian bloke claiming to be with Premier catalogue. Told me I’d won a £50 voucher and that they'd send it along with the catalogue, which supposedly costs over £70 a year. He already knew my full name and address, but didn’t ask for any payment info, so I figured it might be legit. Mentioned I could cancel whenever I wanted too. Fingers crossed he’s being honest about all that!

This number 02080560440 has been ringing me pretty often, third time this week in fact. They said they were from EasyLife but I checked and that isn’t their real contact, which is actually 0800 557766. Seems dodgy to me.

I just got a phonecall from them. They said I got a free £50 voucher because I purchased something from one of their catalogues. The chat started about quiz books then somehow switched to pets. He sounded American. Oddly, he didnt ask for any payment info but kept asking if I understood everything properly, asked me that like twice during the 6 minutes we talked. Bit strange if you ask me.

Got a call from a bloke with a strong American accent saying I’d purchased something and was owed £50 cashback. He even had an address listed that I haven’t lived at for years. I just told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call.

I found it quite hard to follow the conversation, as the woman's accent was distinctly North American, which threw me a bit. She mentioned something regarding a catalogue order, but I honestly can't remember making any such purchase. She was on about sending out a card with a £3500 limit, which is expected to land on my doorstep in the next few days. There were plenty of other bits and bobs she rambled on about, but being an octogenarian and a bit hard of hearing, it was all a bit muddled for me. I'll be keeping an eye on the mail, and let's just say my shredder is ready and waiting!
