I got calls too, like 4 yesterday and even one super early this morning at 7:52. My internet is supposed to go down in 4 hours or so. What’s the point of all these calls anyway? Absolute morons if you ask me.

I got a call from the number 07749189756, but it showed up as Suspected Spam. Before that, there was a call that went silent when I answered and then ended right away, but the phone marked it as potential fraud. Seems like it's the same scam trying to get through. I've reported both now. x

I've made it quite clear to this company that I'm not interested and that I refuse to give any information over the phone. I even suggested they send me a form to fill out instead, which I would be more than happy to do. They assured me they’d remove me from their list, yet I’ve still been bombarded with more than a dozen calls since then, even after attempting to block them!

I got a call from ‘Adam’ earlier today and the line cut off the moment I picked up. After seeing some of the other comments here, I’m pretty sure it was another one of their scams.

My phone rang and when I answered, there was nothing but silence for nearly 10 seconds. Then this bloke with a strong Indian accent popped up, talking from a really loud call centre, just saying ‘hello’ before hanging up abruptly. Bit disappointing since normally it’s those annoying virus or Microsoft scam calls. I usually mess with them by pretending to restart my PC, just to waste their time. Figures, if I’m keeping them busy, maybe they’re not trying to con anyone else at that moment.

Some bloke rang saying he was from Microsoft, claiming hackers had gotten into my computer. I knew straight away it was a scam, no way Microsoft would ring like that. I messed about with them on hold, pretending to sort stuff on my computer, then told them to wait a moment and just left it. I doubt it annoyed them as much as they annoyed me, but it cheered me up a bit. They rang back two more times, probably thinking the call dropped.

Just mess about and keep them hanging on the line for ages. No need to even switch your computer on. Tell them it’s upstairs and you’ve got to carry it down to where the phone is, then say it takes ages to boot up, whatever you like. But don’t actually do what they ask or turn the computer on at all. If the TPS actually worked properly, these lot wouldn’t still be ringing. Don’t bother with the police either, they won’t help at all.

Some bloke said he was from Microsoft, telling me my PC was hacked. I asked him which one and when I got it. He kept pushing but I blocked him each time. Then he told me to stand in front of a mirror. I asked why, and he went on about seeing what a “black hairy bastard” looks like before hanging up. Tried ringing him back to check if it was legit but just got the answerphone. Definitely a scammer and just a pain for everyone.

Today, I got a call from this number saying my Sly protection insurance payment was overdue and they wanted my card details. Are these folks even genuine?
