They’ve been calling me non stop since early today. Like others have said, I tried feeding them made-up info just to see what they wanted but they kept pushing for the six digit number on my card, like the bank sort code or something. I told them to prove they had my real details if they wanted that. The manager got pretty angry and started shouting. I told him not to bother calling again. I’ve had about five more calls since then but I haven’t picked up. Fingers crossed no one gets caught out by this trick.

Got loads of calls today, some were just silent, others had foreign accents all saying the same thing about some Telephone preference service. They kept pushing, wouldn't answer any of my questions and ignored me when I said no. Blocked the number straight away.

This number has rung me up about 7 times over the past couple of days on both my phone and home line. The person on the other end had a clear Indian accent and actually knew my name and address, mentioning something about call barring too. They even seemed aware that I’m signed up with the nuisance call blocking service. I listened only to the first call then just hung up on the rest. How come these callers have all my personal info, including my mobile numbers and the fact that I’m part of the phone preference scheme? Feels like the very organisation meant to keep me safe is maybe selling my details! I’d really like to understand how they’re getting hold of all this.

I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he could block all annoying calls forever. He said his company was the only one allowed to do this legit. But how can anyone know if a call is spam without actually talking to the caller? Feels like a total scam to me.

Got a call around 12:04 on 3rd Nov 2017 from a guy who spoke with an African accent. He was saying something about a service to block telemarketing calls. Oddly enough, he already knew my last name and started double checking my address details, which he had too. I got suspicious, asked a tricky question and he immediately ended the call. Felt like a dodgy attempt to get more of my personal info. Watch out!
