I received a call from a woman claiming to be with O2, stating she could provide me with a whopping 40% off. I've since reported this to O2; they're already clued up about these types of calls. I've also taken the step to block the number.

I've received two calls from this number within just a day. This time, I decided to pick up. I was greeted by a woman with an Indian accent, and I could hear a bit of chatter in the background. I confronted her directly, asking what sort of scam she was attempting to pull. She replied, "Oh, I'm not scamming you at all, I'm ringing from Carphone Warehouse." To which I responded, "Funny that, because when I looked up this number, it was flagged as a scam related to Carphone Warehouse. So, do enlighten me on how you're not a scammer?" And just like that, she hung up on me. No doubt about it-it's a scam, for sure.

What a dodgy operation this is, honestly! I had a bit of a run-in with them myself. The moment I started asking a few questions about the offer-like wanting to see the deal on Carphone's site or something-they just flipped their lid! They insisted it was all strictly online.
